These shoes are very comfortable to me. They pull on a little tight but fit well once on. I wear them to work where I have to change into a uniform and steel-toed work shoes, and I like that I can slip them on and off to save time tying laces. After working all shift on my feet with a lot of walking, my feet are sore. But when I slip these shoes on to go home, it's like instant relief and walking on cushiony little pillows.
These are certainly comfortable to wear. After about two weeks I noticed twinges of my planar fasciitis coming back. For the last decade I've worn nothing but New Balance because of the arch support. To keep that from becoming a problem again I only wear the Skechers about every third day. If not for that I'd wear them every day as they are next to having nothing on your feet as they are so light compared to most shoes I've worn.
Go Walk 2's are better than Go Walk 3 because they are lighter and fit better. I thought they were discontinued, so was lucky to get another pair. No break-in, these fit and are a delight to wear. Wish there were more colors. I bought some G-W 3's but they are heavier and tighter.
I have plantar fasciiatis and these shoes are the only thing that keeps me on my feet. They (GoWalk2) are far superior to the newer GoWalk3 and GoWalk4 variants. These soft plush round dot pattern soles are like walking around on 30 small pillows. They are a dream. Much to my pleasant surprise I found them here because for some strange reason Skechers has abandoned this design and you can't get them in stores, and I thought I'd never find another pair. I can't explain why they've changed something that was so perfect, and Skechers if you are out there I beg of you, PLEASE resurrect this soft ultra plush (succulent) sole pattern. There is only one downside to them, they do wear out fast because the tread pattern is so soft. But if you live with feet in pain as I do buying another pair of shoes every year is worth it...worth it...worth it
Super comfy. I walk around 5 miles a day and these make it real easy on my feet and legs in general. They seems to be wearing pretty good as some comfy shoes don't last very long. Hope they keep making the GoWalk 2's as I plan on continuing to buy them. I wear them with and without socks, I do socks when I'm going to be doing a lot of walking for a long time. I could care less about color, too old for that, so I buy the least expensive pair which was black when I bought mine. Okay, I would never buy pink if that was a choice and they were free. :) I recommend for a comfortable pair of casual shoes.
These things are a find! A few people had told me Skechers were comfortable so I decided to look into a pair. These appealed to me because they were slip on, looked good, and were priced really well. I usually wear a 12 in normal shoes which I know is a little big but I like a little extra room and you can always tie them tighter to fit well. So I ordered an 11.5 for these. When I first tried them I thought they were too big, but I just wasn't used to the feel of a slip on. They fit exactly as you'd expect. They're SO comfortable and it feels like you're walking on a cloud. The insole is like memory foam, and the soles are like cushions. I also love being able to slip them on easily, and they're much cooler than regular shoes. Well worth price which is extremely reasonable for a quality pair of shoes like these.
I have been wearing Go Walks for years now, but when I started planning our next Disney visit, I knew it was time to find some for the hubby. They were exactly what we wanted! We use Dr. Scholls special inserts for extra arch and heel support during our week long insane walking trips to get us through, but the inserts are totally unnecessary on regular days. Now he knows what he was missing out on and why I can't wear pretty little uncomfortable non-supportive sandals anymore!
I got these shoes to try and relieve my plantar fasciitis while walking, biking, and standing at work. I wanted something all black that didn't look like a ugly running shoe. I love these and I'm so glad I got them, even though I spent more than i usually do on shoes. They're very non descript, flexible, and breathable. They're comfy and are so far relieving the plantar pain I was having during those activities. I also have wide feet and the flexible structure of the shoe easily accommodates this. The fit was as expected. I also tend to get pain on the outer front soles of my feet, which has been relieved by these shoes. I find they correct my feet a little as though there is more support on the outer soles than inner soles
I bought several pairs of these a few years ago and have gotten to the point they're wearing out now. so I was looking for more and finally found these. These are great shoes for me. Normally I'm a 14D or 2E, but these 13D fit me well if I don't wear socks with them. I enjoy going barefoot in the summer and these slip right on comfortably (usually put some talcum powder in before going out when it's hot). They are also great walking shoes for me. I would note that my feet are relatively normal with a somewhat high arch that has fallen a bit over the years, so I don't have any issues with pronation or supination.
I purchased these for my dad. It's his second pair of Go-Walks. He "abused" and used his first ones, which is a great thing since he received health benefits from going on long walks. As a senior citizen, he delights in these shoes immensely. They're extremely comfortable on his feet. Way to go, Sketchers.
I bought these shoes for my father who suffers from swollen feet. The first pair I bought him fit great and gave him plenty of room for when his feet began to swell. Unfortunately the only Go Walks that come in wide width also only come in black. I took a chance and bought these because of the great color and thought that by buying a half size larger they would work. They are cut very differently from the Go Walk wides and I had to return the first pair to get an additional 1/2 size larger. Now the length is fine and the width until later in the afternoon when his feet swell. Love the comfort, stability, and appearance of these shoes just wish they could extend the variety in the wide sizes and work for a bit more conformity in sizes.
Ok, I had to come back and write this review, about 2 months after the purchase. These shoes are hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever tried! I bought them for a trip from NYC to california for 10 days, I was on my feet for at least 7-10 hours a day while touring los angeles, hollywood disneyland, San diego zoo etc.At the end of the day, my feet were totally fine, I had absolutely no pain(usually im in pain after several hours on my feet with shoes or sneakers). They are not the most stylish shoe (at lease not for a middle aged man), but for the lack of pain, so worth it!.I am also a respiratory therapist in a nyc hospital, working 13 hour shifts, that require me to be on my feet for most of that time, and these shoes have exceeded all my expectations! I will be buying a couple more pairs,no matter how ugly they might be, for comfort its worth every penny.CANT GO WRONG WITH THESE WALKING SHOES,after more than 2 months of constant wear, they show no signs of any wear....its the best 40 Bucks ive spent in a while.Try them!
I got these during the summer, as they're intended to be worn without socks, and boy... they are COMFORTABLE for tooling around town. I got them to take on vacation as my only shoes, and was comfortable the whole time.Well, until I got home, still wearing them almost every day, and a month later developed some nasty foot pain (just before a 10k race I'd been training for, of course). I saw a podiatrist, who took one look at these shoes and told me they were really not good to wear more than as slippers around the house. No arch support at all, no structure, just a big pillow of cushiness that ended up weakening my feet, which ended up with me developing plantar fasciitis. I've since limited these to in-home slipper duty, for which they're much preferable to going barefoot, but I got a pair of Sole footbed inserts for arch support and stick to shoes with structure for day-to-day walking and work and such... to much-improved ends, happily.Very comfortable. Perhaps dangerously so. Proceed with caution.
Finding shoes that appeal to my father is not easy; he's 92, still very active and likes things a certain way. As he says, at his age, the familiarity of his surroundings help him feel 'comfortable and more confident."So it is with his shoes; his complaint about a slip on shoe is that they never stay on. And since he walks with a cane and maybe not as steady as he used to, I could see his point. But, I needed to find something that was a little more friendly to his aging feet.As his daughter and caregiver, I have the final say in some things, and I had to draw the line at some of the shoes he chose to wear. His feet suffered horribly with a heat rash and toe nail fungus this past summer, but I also knew that no amount of discussion would convince him that his shoes, heavy socks and (yes...) personal hygiene were to blame. When I found these shoes I knew they would work, all I had to do was challenge him to a dare to see if they would make a difference. He does wear them and comments on the comfort they provide; all I can do is hope he will continue so that his feet will improve. These shoes give me hope that he'll gradually phase out of the heat and moisture holding boots he wears now. I'll be sure to come back and add more notes when my 'challenge" proves successful!
First, I'll address the fit because it can be an issue with shoes like these. I wear a men's 9-and-a-half but usually buy size 10 because my feet are a bit wide. This fits me perfectly in size 10 ... easy to slip on yet they don't feel loose. I bought these before a three-week trip overseas because I didn't want to carry a lot of shoes. In black, these look good with socks and black pants when you want to dress up a bit with a nice shirt, but also work very well for casual wear, including shorts when you wear them without socks (very comfortable with or without socks). Black will also conceal scuffs, dust, dirt, etc.In addition to their versatility, the big selling point as travel shoes is their remarkably light weight. They feel like nothing. You can walk all day in them (and I did, all over Bangkok) without ever feeling foot-weary. And the soles provide far more cushion than I expected (considering the light weight). I've yet to feel any pressure points or foot soreness in these.Oddly enough, when we got to Australia on the trip, every member of the wait staff in our hotel restaurant (Silky Oaks Lodge) was wearing Skechers Go shoes in black. Our waitress saw mine and said, "Hey, you've got 'em too!" Those women and men are on their feet all day and all night, and they say for the price, there is no more comfortable shoe. And our waitress pointed out another benefit of which I was not aware: she said you can clean them by just popping them into a washing machine.
My husband frequently changes between his jeans and relaxing "around the house" pants. With traditional tie sneakers, it was always a hassle. I mentioned loving my slip on Skechers; so, we decided to check to see if they made them for men. We found these and my husband absolutely loves them. He said they are unbelievably comfortable and so easy to get on and off. We definitely see more of these in our shoe buying future. Thank you, Skechers! Need to add an addendum.....had to return this particular pair to seller because I mistakenly ordered a half size too small. Because this wasn't an Amazon Prime order, I had to pay to return them to seller. The cheapest return cost $10; so, won't make this mistake again. Ended up ordering them from another vendor who provided free shipping AND RETURN at a lower price. Shop around, people!
The Go Walk 2's come with built in liners. I'd say this is the outstanding factor to consider when purchasing these shoes. I'm a sock person so the "no sock" thing was weird at first; however, Sketchers does boast of some sort of anti-odor material in the Go Walk 2's. I've had these for a week now and no bad odor thus far (we'll see how long that lasts). The positive outtakes of this shoe is its unusual light weight, yet, good durable quality build. Also, the comfort is outstanding. I suffer from weak heels which trigger pain on hard surfaces. I feel no pain walking around the hardwood floors with the Go Walk 2's. Overall, I recommend these; especially, if you're trying to mitigate foot pain.If you have a wide foot, I'm warning you, the regulars will not be for you. Remember, these are already a bit tight as they are not intended for sock use (my father has a wide foot and his didn't fit him too well [I have a regular 9.5 foot and they fit perfect...with no socks]). Give 'em a try, they're worth the price.
I have mixed feelings about these shoes. They are just a bit large without socks, I wear a 10, and the left shoe is very comfortable but the left foot not so much. It seems to be a matter of construction, possibly a defect? The other thing that bothers me is that they seem a bit flimsy and I wonder how long they will last. I know that this all sounds rather negative but I do like them. I am no sure that they are worth the price. I have a somewhat similar pair of Ecco shoes that are better made and comfortable but do cost a bit more.Bottom line is would I buy these again and the answer is yes depending upon how well they hold up over time.7/23/15After using these for some time now I have fallen in love with these shoes. They are comfortable and have become pretty much the only shoes that I wear on a daily basis. They seem to be harder to find now so I will buy another pair or two before they disappear.
I'm a 10.5 mens USA size foot and the shoe fits perfectly. Maybe some people think they're too small because the top is this stretchy fabric? It has a note that says to stretch, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that as you pull it on, there's an unusual tightness at first. I thought I was going to rip the shoe, but after I got my foot in, I understood these were kind of like putting on a pair of socks or something. Not too tight at all and they do stretch. As far as length and width, it's totally accurate sizing. The only real problems I have with these shoes are (1) these aren't really miracles shoes for plantar fasciitis as I'd read elsewhere (that's not the shoes' fault, though; they just don't happen to work for me. I have foot pain after I walk just like with most shoes. VibramBarefoot seem to be the best for my feet or a pair of flip-flops), (2) there is a bizarre clicking noise when I walk on hard floors. On the concrete outside, it might also make this noise, but it is muffled by the outside noise, I guess. The noise is annoying for sure. I hope it goes away as the souls wear out a bit. It's something to do with the front toe area of the soul. It's expanding or popping in some weird way and making a click noise. Can't really explain it, but the bottom tread are little circles and it almost sounds suction-cup-like in noise, if you know what I mean.Great, comfortable shoes nevertheless. Well worth the price. If my plantar fasciitis ever goes away I'm sure I will wear these much more often, especially on long walks.
I bought these since my wife just got a pair of women's Skechers and loves them! Overall it is a good shoe, fit is right on the mark, good construction and the quality you should expect from this great company. What's got me stymied though is the color. I ordered Navy/Grey but there is no grey and the navy is closer to black than it is pictured! I just wish they were accurate in the color then they are. In fact, when I bought these we also ordered a new pair for wifey that was supposed to be "Taupe." Not even close... they are solid brown! Maybe they should check their color picker and make sure he or she is not color blind! I am only sort of kidding because the color errors are so obvious!Bottom line, great shoe, colors are weird! Make sure you order a shade lighter than what you see on your screen and everything should go fine!
They are great! For the first time in well over a year I am able to walk effortlessly, without pain, without those bulky insole inserts.I had bought a black pair of these a few weeks ago and from my first step knew I had found my favorite shoes. They have good arch support and are very comfortable. So I ordered this (stone, actually light tan) pair for wearing with shorts or at other times when the lighter color is more appropriate than black. And I don't hesitate to wear either pair to work; in fact, I am writing this sitting in my office at work, (business casual atmosphere) wearing these with khaki pants. I might not wear them to meet an important new client but you can bet that the moment I got out of the meeting I would have them back on and the killers stored away.I will wear these as long as Sketchers makes and sells them.
First they do seem to be true to size. I have a WIDE foot and they do not come in wide in my size. GOOD NEWS After one day of wearing they have stretched and are a nice fit now. The only concern will be if they wear out, bust out where they have stretched That would be MY FAULT not a shoe deficiency. Hope to remember to update this in a month or two with info on how the shoe wears. However to explain how WONDERFULLY COMFORTABLE they are ....I pound pavement all day and sore feet are a way of life even with expensive insoles added to my workshoes. These are better than going barefoot which is how I have lived at home since I was a kid. Now after having these shoes for only a few days: I look forward to coming home and putting these on. Not just kicking off my shoes. Also to get the point across how much I love having these on my feet. Without even knowing how well they will wear I just ordered THREE MORE PAIRS I do not want to be without them regardless of how well they wear.
I really like these shoes in that, they are extremely light, extremely comfortable and they breathe. The insoles are the most comfortable I've ever walked in. I bought these to wear at work. I sit at a desk, visit sites, work on networking equipment and other IT related stuff. I thought these shoes looked "business" enough to wear in a business casual environment. Not quite however. The not so good... I don't see these lasting very long, or at least being wearable outside the house for very long. They already feel like they are stretching out a bit. The side materials are a rubber of sorts. It's stretching a bit. They sort of look like $30 house shoes already. New out of the box they might pass as a casual black shoe, but after a few days of use I feel like they are not up to a business environment. I feel like an office ninja walking around in them. They are so light and of course, black lol.I really hope they can expand on this design and deliver a shoe that has a more business appearance while remaining breathable and comfortable.Just realize that buying these, you are buying glorified house shoes, but the memory foam insoles and super duper space aged whatever it is outsoles are ridiculously comfortable! Probably about $20+ overpriced for what you get.
Saw the New Skechers Go Walk 2, on my neighbor then bought my own, then another pair, then a laced pair, that's how soft on the soul of your feet they feel. These shoes are super lightweight with a mesh type fabric and the bottoms are round circles, not a solid hard sole. I recommend trying them on in a store to find your size then order online for added colors and fabrics. they come in a suede and knitted fabric like a heather gray sweatshirt. These are perfect for the house and shopping. NOT for the yard as the bottoms would collect too much debris in the round grid sole. Also, the top of the shoe is not a structured form or filled with midline overpronation contols, or other fancy stuff. But they are heaven to put on and the bottoms of your feet will thank you!***Gentle Readers and Responders in the Review section, Please remember that Reviews are for the Product, first and foremost. I have always had to have a soft shoe and a shoe that also supports well. This has been very necessary in the past 20 years since I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. Now at age 62 I have found great dress shoes, but was seldom pleased with recreational tennis-type shows. My wife has three pairs of Go Walk / Go Run and loves them. She saw the same shoes for men and bought me a pair of each. Your shoes are amazing and help with my walking and my blood circulation. The sides of these shoes offer gentle support and the sole pattern seems to stimulate the bottom of my feet as I walk. Every chance I get (even in my office) I use these shoes every day. My wife has given me a gift of your shoes that is spreading here in Thailand. A friend now returning for the USA this week brings me my third pair. Now I am studying the golf shoes you offer. Thailand has several Skechers store but they seldom carry a shoe size above a 9 and very few styles. So I will continue to buy more of these shoes when I return (2-3 times a year. to the USA .Submitted by Dr. Charles C. I went on a 5 day vacation to Virginia and Washington DC. WE averaged over 5 miles a day in these great shoes. My feet did not hurt or seem to get tired. They are great for Old Feet! I am sure that they would be great for every age.
My husband is a diabetic and even with the best medications he still had trouble wearing most shoes. I had gotten myself a pair of the women's GoWalk shoes and thought that he might be able to wear them if I could find them in men's shoes, so I ordered him a pair. This was one of the smartest things I've done! He said that they are more comfortable than slippers and has been able to wear them everyday. He likes them so much I ordered him another pair in another color. These shoes are wonderful in the men's or women's!
