GPS units are wonderful for travel and I use a Garmin to go all over the US but, there is nothing like a paper map to decide exactly how you want to go, how far each day, and side trips along the way. My last one of these was over 10 years old and finally just wore out.

I agree with the reviewers who stated the paper was too thin. It is. It certainly will not last long if you use it for long trips and need to keep turning the pages from state to state. So, disappointed in the thin paper but otherwise it is a great road atlas.

This is how we used to navigate before the internet and smart phones. Great looking atlas with an incredible amount of information on each page. I have one per vehicle and keep them dry and secure in a safe place. Get off of digits and on to paper.

We have GPS system in the car but always like to have a backup. This is works well, it is easy to read with the larger print which is what we wanted. The only con is that some states had to move to 3 pages but for larger print we didn't mind.

Every few years I like to always get a new one of these road atlases. I don't drive or travel that much but it's just nice to have them because I have always liked the Rand McNally road atlas. I'm always surprised and happy to see that these are continually published every year. Thank you and I like this Edition because it's spread out. Rand McNally always makes a excellent Superior product.

Large print edition is easy on the eyes. Although we have GPS, it's nice to be able to see a larger picture during your travels. Good old fashioned Road Atlas.

I am still into hardcopies and don't really trust my GPS. I use MapQuest and Google a lot to locate local places but having a map in hand is great when traveling long distances. Also the Atlas does not cost over $400 to buy for your car. There are free apps but the Atlas gives you the "whole picture".

I know you kids can't read a map but you should learn how. When your phone runs out of power during the road trip you need a backup plan. Everyone should have one of these shoved into the back of their vehicle's trunk just in case.

I love this Atlas, however, the larger type kicks pertinent trip information over to other pages and my fiancé like the original one instead. We just moved to PA and thought this would be a great gift, but rather than store and never use I would like to exchange for a more suitable one for him.I look forward to your quick reply and resolution, and apologize for being outside the "Return Window", however, we just moved here and things have been a little chaotic to say the least.Warm regards,Leslie @ 951.609.8026

Ordered this for my mom (she's 70) and she hates it. I had her explain to me why it's awful and I can kind of see it. Unless it's a small state (think New England) each state covers multiple pages. So to go from southern Indiana to northern Indiana you have to keep flipping pages. It is annoying. Maybe that's because it's large scale...or maybe they're all like that. Well that was her main complaint and I agree with her. I want to see a whole state without flipping to 8 pages for Texas.

Very happy with this product. 2019, but cell service is not always available and you need some fool proof maps to help you out. Great for my passenger seat navigator, and I would buy additional maps if I'll be traveling a different state extensively.

I like to have a map to plot out my vacation drives. I also do it online or on my phone, but there's nothing like a big atlas to be able to see the big picture and to flip around to different states to see what's interesting to see or to avoid. Used this on our recent 4800 mile road trip in conjunction with our google maps on the phones. Feel like I don't have all the information if I don't have this atlas along. This replaces a 2014 atlas..Great to have. Fun to look at and explore.

I clearly didn't read the dimensions or realize that "large" meant LARGE. It quite big, definitely not small enough to fit in your glove compartment, but will probably be good for the pocket on the back of the driver's seat. Besides that, it's exactly what I was looking for to use on our cross country journey.

I love these atlases...have one that is five years old and it was time to replace it. This atlas will be most useful on our planned RV tour across the US. I love the large-scale feature since it makes this so easily readable in any situation. Yes, the atlas is large but works in most situations, plus most useful in the home. Highly recommended!

Great map easy to read and detailed major cities. I’ve read some reviews that said the map was difficult and too many “smaller maps” ...I would recommend to those reviewers to watch a YouTube video on learning how to read a map. The only potential flaw is the plastic spiral binding is flimsy.

I am enjoying this atlas. I like that it is spiral-bound, making it easy to flip from one page to another. I also like the larger print. My only criticism about the atlas is since the maps are blown up, place names are chopped up, although there is slight overlap between the pages. That helps a little bit. The pages are also very thin, making them easy to tear. On the plus side, print quality is better than with the standard atlas. Overall, I have zero regrets purchasing this item. It will come in very handy when planning road trips. In an age where people are turning to their GPS, nothing beats an atlas. I like seeing the big picture. I totally recommend this atlas. However, if you are traveling to Canada, this would not work for you as it only covers the US. If you're going to Canada, I would recommend the standard atlas or even the National Park version.

It has good details, Ithere is one full spread of the whole country, but I do wish there were a couple pages with quadrant regions.

Rand McNally always puts out great maps and this one is no exception. The print is large but most of the states are divided into several pages making it harder to read the maps. I wish there was a middle ground of larger print and most of the states on one page. This one is better when you focus in on a specific location. The smaller print one is better when you are looking at a state as a whole and trying to figure out your best route in that state.

We are still relying on our tried and true Atlas to get the full picture of an area. It’s always in the car and has gotten us out of a few GPS quirks that have landed us in the wrong spot!

Maps are easy to read. I like the binding so that pages can be turned fully if need be.
