This cover is okay for just having a cover for if you don't walk around or travel a lot with your ipad. I got it for my 6th generation model A1893 and it fits perfectly and was very easy to put on. So I will use it mostly for when I'm just at my desk and in my house from room to room. I do travel a bit so just ordered a hard plastic cover that claims to be very shock proof, etc., so I won't have to worry when I'm around grandkids or just dropping it myself. So I plan to just switch to my slim fit one while at home, and change to the hard cover when I travel. If I have any issues, I'll come back and update.

I was pleasantly surprised when this product arrived. I vowed not to buy another online product after my last replacement for my iPad mini chipped within a few weeks of purchase. I planned to purchase an Apple cover for my new iPad but alas they don’t make the complete covers anymore. This cover is well made and though it was a little difficult to put on, once on, it fit perfectly to protect my investment. The cover is bendable and won’t chip and unlike the Apple covers can be wiped clean. Looking forward to a long life with this cover.

As much as I love the color and the feel of this case, I'm a little bummed that the screen lock button portion of the case doesn't work the way its suppose to. It's like as if the mold doesn't fall on it the way it's suppose to. Ive posted a video so you can see what im talking about. Other than that the smart case does wake and sleep the screen the way its suppose to when you open and close the lid. Would be 5 stars if that part worked for me.

After spending way too much time researching evvvvvvery single inexpensive smartcover-style iPad cases for the 2018 9.7, reading way too many reviews and checking each product on fakespot, I settled on this one and it seems like the one to get. The material looks and feels durable and not-cheap. Although like all cases of this type, after enough hard use it's inevitable that it'd get worn, especially in the hinge area. That's just a reality of this design. What really sold me was a video review I saw that demonstrated the strength of the magnets in folded mode. Reviews for similar units sold on Amazon had complaints about weak magnets. Not this one -- the flaps stay in place, and the iPad feels super secure in either position. Smart on/off works perfectly, the cover magnets stay in place, and the fit when closed is really precise. The iPad snaps in easily, secure but not too tight, and there is no interference with a tempered glass screen protector. Yes, along the sides, top and bottom, you can pull the rubber slack a little bit. It's meant to be that way -- hard plastic would crack under eventual pressure, and make it more difficult to insert and remove the iPad. This is not super-hardcore protection from massive falls and bangs, rather it's to keep the thing secure day to day under normal use. So far it seems like it's up to the task, and if it falls apart after a year or more, it's cheap enough to just buy another one.

Ordered a couple cases to see which I liked best. This is the one I am keeping. It is a pretty rose gold cover. The magnets hold well in any position (stand or closed). Closes tightly over glass screen protector. Unlike most cases now the buttons are covered which I prefer. The cutouts for camera, speaker and lightning port or perfect. The inside of the cover is soft enough not to scratch but it isn’t a luxurious material. In comparing to my old iPad smart case, which I love, I only have 2 issues. One is that when the cover is folded back the side is left unprotected. Also there is a lip on the case that wants to lift the screen protector despite waiting 48 hours to put the case on. I just had to be very careful to fit the corners that were lifting under the edges first before snapping in the rest of the case. This is most likely due to issues occurring while attaching the screen protector but I can’t be certain so it’s worth mentioning. The case has a very snug fit and I don’t feel at all concerned that the iPad would pop out as my old iPad is doing on my old Apple case. Overall great value for the money.

I recently purchased an Apple iPad 9.7" (6th generation / 2018) on Black Friday. Wanting to protect it, I researched covers / cases. I found that many of the cases required you to slide the iPad into a sleeve, covering the boarder around the iPad. This prevents you from accessing the handy areas on the iPad that you access by swiping a corner or edge. I liked this style because it snapped on, left the buttons exposed, but didn't cover the front area of the iPad. It's handy, quick to close or open. It does have a magnetic strip built in which keeps it closed in normal use. I wish it had some sort of strap to keep it closed when you travel (like a previous cover for a Samsung tablet I had). Other than that, it's a good overall case! If you find my review helpful, please click the button below that indicates that! Thanks!

I've owned this for roughly 6 months and am incredibly satisfied with this case. It protects my iPad from both sides and costs a very small fraction of what you'd pay for Apple branded protection. It's stable in viewing mode, and very sturdy in tabletop/drawing mode. I really can't say much else about it.I will get into a couple nitpicky things. I've seen a few reviews talk about how the ports aren't covered properly. If you run into this issue, reapply the case. It's got to be set in a very particular way, and because it's so incredibly snug (which I believe is a good thing), you may need a little trial and error to align it with your ports/speakers perfectly. Only took me 2 tries.Last nitpick is the bottom border (closest to the home button). It's not very rigid. It'll still protect your iPad, but it's something to keep in mind. I doubt it'll warp or tear. It just doesn't grip as tightly to the border of the iPad as the case's other edges. You won't have to worry about your iPad popping out of the case or anything. I've never had that happen, and the corners of this case have a death grip on the device, which is what matters.

This is a great basic case that looks and feels nicer than the price. All the cutouts are in the right place, and the back piece has a snug fit while still allowing you to easily remove the iPad. I doubt it offers any serious drop protection, but if you are looking for a low profile case for your iPad 5th or 6th generation this is a good buy.A couple of notes to be aware of: 1) I bought the red color, and it’s a very bright, almost orangey, red. 2) The bottom edge around the speakers and lightning port is a little flimsy due to the nature of the cutouts. Definitely not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing.

Just received this case for my 6th Gen. (March 2018) iPad and thought I'd share some first impressions. I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem and I want my products to feel like quality even when there are cases on them.Compared to Apple's Smart Cover, the quality of this case is a solid 8/10. The description of this case says the front cover is a "luxury leather" but this feels more like a soft (and textured) rubber. It feels great on the hands, but is not as grippy as Apple's silicone Smart Cover. The magnets also could be stronger, but the sleep/wake function works great. When the front cover is completely flipped around, the magnet strength seems to feel a little weak and sometimes does not stick due to magnet misalignment with the back side. The back is a lot harder. Rubbery (not silicone-y), but harder & overall feels VERY durable which I like.Cutouts are precise (camera cutout could be better, but it doesn’t don't obstruct view which is great.Overall, I really like the feel of this case. The Navy Blue color is great (front cover is slightly lighter than back) and I’d definitely recommend. Though different from Apple’s Smart Cover, this case feels like quality.

I tried several other cases before purchasing this one and while none of them are (for me) as nice as the genuine leather case sold directly by Apple (particularly the feel of the inside front cover when it's folded back and held), the material in this case, particularly the back cover, had a better sensory sense when held in my left hand. Further, I find it better, though perhaps less convenient, to have a separate holder for the Apple Pen, as with those other cases that incorporate it in the body of the case, it creates an uneven alignment when open and foldded back around the case, making it seem awkward when held.

Since this is the first iPad I have owned, I read a bunch of reviews to try to determine what would meet my needs best. My wish list and my assessment follows, keeping in mind I have only had this case for about a week:Able to access all the buttons— Perfect. The cutouts are exactly where they should be and I have no issues with access or charging.Corner protection — All four corners are covered, and I expect this to protect the iPad from dents from a bumps with hard surfaces. The material is a flexible plastic, but doesn't seem to offer a lot of cushioning, IMO.Screen protection — Yes. When the cover is closed, the magnets keep it in place and protect the screen from scratches and dust. I would expect that the screen would be protected from a short drop too. For extra insurance, I added a glass screen protector, which fits pretty well under the molded corners of the back of the case.At least 2 positions for typing and content viewing — Technically, yes. You fold the cover back and it's held in position with the magnets. I have found that in the typing position, where the weight of the iPad is supported by the case, I have to fuss with it a bit to get the magnets to hold. The magnets hold the case in the content viewing position (closer to upright) fine.Non-slip material— I was worried about a slick surface that would too easily slide off a granite counter, for example, and send my iPad tumbling to the floor. This case is smooth but not slick.Easy to remove the iPad if needed— The corners are flexible, not a hard plastic, so there's no worry about marring the corners or back of the iPad to get it in or out of the case. I love this feature.I had noticed in other reviews that folding back the entire cover to use the iPad in portrait mode was a bit sloppy. I completely agree. Because the spine of the case is designed to be folded back upon itself, it extends beyond the case back when you fold the cover back completely flat. And with two smooth surfaces, there's a lot of shifting. This is probably what I like the least at this point because I use the iPad in portrait mode quite often.Overall take: There are a couple things about the design that I would like to see improved, and I will probably try out another case style or two. Even so, I will keep and use this one as it meets most of my needs , seems sturdy enough to last a while, and it's a really good value for the price.

I recently purchased a new iPad and Apple Pencil. While I love both items, I was very disappointed that the Apple Pencil did not come with any sort of storage sleeve meaning that it has to be carried. I purchased this case on Amazon because it not only provided a standard folding cover for the iPad but also included a Pencil holder. I've been keeping the Pencil holder on the middle fold of the cover so that no matter if I use the iPad in a more vertical or more horizontal position, the holder remains in a position where it doesn't really interfere with the table. The only drawback of this sort of arrangement however is that if you fold the cover back and hold the iPad in your hand, the Pencil holder will in fact get in the way. Thankfully, it's attached with an elastic band which is easy to remove. My only complaint is that the Apple pencil comes with an adapter to charge using a standard Apple cable. I wish this cover included an extra pouch where I could keep the adaptor as its easily misplaced and I'd prefer to have it near my iPad at all times. This is a minor quibble and not worth take points away from this product since it's really Apple's fault that they haven't provided some sort of clip or more practical way of keeping the adaptor safe without easily losing it.I've only had the cover for about a week but so far it works great and I'm very happy with this purchase!

This is the perfect case for me for my new iPad. It snugs the back of the iPad, holding it into the case and giving it back and side protection without bulk or weight. The front is then held securely onto the front of the iPad and protects the glass with a reasonably firm flat surface that folds to support the iPad in the horizontal position for viewing, say, on a desk or table or using a finger or rubber tipped stylus to select. This case folds flat against the back for keyboarding or drawing (with Apple Pencil) using, say, ProCreate. It is magnetic and automatically turns the iPad on when it opens. The magnet can be use to gently hold the Apple Pencil to it when closed and charging and will also hold the Apple Pencil End Cap to the top of the case when laying flat and charging the Apple Pencil. This case does not have a place to put an Apple Pencil, and I do NOT want such a place. The case fits very snug and trim on the iPad for use on small spaces, such as tables and counters, and on my lap or in my hand when sketching. That is important to me. Also, I keep my Apple Pencil separate and use it for drawing or sketching, and I use my rubber tipped stylus for most other work such as selecting.

Decent construction for the price. This is a fine looking folio cover and the fitment is pretty darn good, as you can see in the photos. The TPU back could be a little more "firm" in the charging port/speaker area (also as seen in the photos), but overall this is a great value and will do the job. My previous iPad folio case had a hard plastic back and the iPad snapped in for a very firm and secure fit. The drawback there was that removing it could be difficult, and if you extricated the iPad by popping the corners out in the wrong order it was susceptible to cracking the plastic in the rear camera area - which I did. To its credit though, it remained just a crack and did not continue to break. I felt the TPU option would be a good alternative for this reason, but now the issue is that it is a little 'floppy' near the home button My reason for taking a star away). I can live with it for now, but may replace it with another hard back case. The cover, for being plastic, has a nice feel both on the outside (faux Leather) and on the inside that rests against the glass. The "felt" feel inside surface is a sort of "fuzzy" feeling all plastic surface. This is kind of nice, because what I don't like about other folio cases is their fabric like inside surfaces tend to pick up fingerprint grease and become kind of grimy.Bottom line, it does what it is supposed to do,and for a fraction of the price of many of the options out there. If you're not too picky about 100% perfect fitment and don't need that "real leather" feel, then this is the case for you.

I really like this iPad cover. Took me a couple tries to get what I wanted. Bought a Finte case on Amazon but didn’t care for it ask tvadded too much bulk and the iPad wouldn’t stand. Bligh another one at Staples for twice this price that I also returned for the same issue. This cover is thin, lightweight, and definitely does not add bulk to the iPad. And it is able to stay standing in its edge when I need it too. I also like having the holder for the stylus. Don’t have to keep trying to find a place to clip it to the cover. Excellent cover for the money

This is a lightweight, simple yet stylish, and inexpensive case to help protect your hundreds dollar purchase. It is very much comparable to expensive OEM case. There's no reason to buy OEM because you can get the same quality for lesser price. The fit is snug and protection is adequate. No complaints. If you find this review helpful, please click 'helpful' button at the end of this product review. Thanks!Update: After my 3 y/o son uncovered the power that is Youtube, it's been 'my Ipad' according to him. Kids are a bit rough with anything let along expensive electronic. Although the case have been taking a beating everyday (for 3+ months), its still in good shape.

Very pleased! Product is precisely as described and the price is outstanding for the quality, color options, materials, and fit.Two items to note and which are covered in other reviews:1) While silicone-like backing does leave one edge of the iPad exposed in tilt mode, as one reviewer observed, the exposure is not touching the surface and will likely not be compromised.2) When folded all the way back, the face cover flap does extend a wee bit beyond the footprint of the iPad, but that too is not a concern as user and use will quickly compensate over time.Fit and finish is perfect overall. Streamlined and minimaist design without all the bulk; provides adequate protection for most usage.Packaging shows care taken in product shipment and vendor card invitation to reach out for add'l products was a nice touch.Rose gold color matches wonderfully with rose gold iPad and my wife loves it!HIGHLY recommended!

Everything the vendor described about this case is true. My 5th generation iPad fits perfectly into the case It is a one-piece front and back cover. For my last iPad I bought the Apple top cover and had to buy another case to get a back cover, which was hard plastic. For a fraction of the price I have a cover for the front and back and I like the soft back cover better than the hard plastic back cover. The top cover puts the iPad to sleep when you close it. The vendor included their contact information with case in the event of problems or questions and also sent me an e-mail with the information.

Before ordering this item - first get in your head, that this costs less than HALF the price of some similar products. When it arrives and you unpack it, remember again - this was less than half the price of the higher priced alternatives. Now - when you see that this is plastic and that the back protector is thin, remember again - less than half-priced...Finally - put the item on and see how the magnetic closure turns on an off the screen - just like those products that cost twice as much - and remember, that this product might not last as long as some of those higher priced items. When I first got the item I was struck with how plastic it was.. I was not impressed initially - and I even thought about returning it. Then I remember how little it had cost and decided to give it a fair chance... now I'm happy I own it and that I spent so little on it. It doesn't feel like a $39.99 Apple smart cover - because it isn't... it's a $12 cover and back protector. At the price I paid, it's worth the money. Had I spent $20 on it, then I'd be leaving a very different review.

I purchased this case for my mother's new iPad and it works (and fits) exactly as advertised. She has a problem with her wrists that makes weight a real consideration, and this case has proven light enough for her to hold the iPad with minimal problems. The easel feature is very helpful (I just wish there was a way to make it work in portrait mode), and the case is easy to remove but stays in place even when being handled a lot. We haven't had the case for a long time but my first impression is that it will last for quite a while; as of right now I'd definitely buy another if I had another iPad.

I am a hard grader. My first purchase was from ROARTZ, and when the three seams split on the top lid, return it. I found the DTTO and it seemed to fit my needs. Like everyone, it had 5 starts, so I concentrated on the reviews that were unfavorable. (Holes did not line up with the camera, it did not fit to 2017 ipad, volume covered did not work, bottom of the case was not strong, and much more.)Boy were they wrong. None of their complaints are in play. The case is perfect. I am sure that they did not read the instructions in the windows in the top left side. These instructions clearly explained that for compatibility, it is only for the ipad 2017 9.7 with the MODEL NUMBERS OF A1822 AND A1823. I am positive that is why it does not fit their non-2017 ipad. Make sure you have an A1822 or A1823 when ordering this specific case. (It is also known as the 5 gen ipad) One size do not fit all.On extra benefit of the case is that the back of the top lid does not have any felt on it. I find this to be of great benefit since in the past, after keeping my ipad for over a year, the felt always got dirty and oily which caused lines and smudges on my glass on my ipad. Now all I need is a damp close to wipe the rubber inside of the case. (Felt does not like water. I have learned the hard way.)Buy it for a ipad 2017 9.7 only. It is a perfect case. You will be delighted.

No complaints. Extremely happy with this case. I was texting friends to talk about it, even though they could care less, because I was excited about it. Love that the case for the back of the iPad is TPU. I wanted that because TPU won’t crack like my hard plastic one did, but I realized when it arrived that it feels much nicer in your hands as well. The case is just a tad taller than the screen itself, so it gives a nice little bit of extra protection to the screen too. And again, that lip feels nice when you’re handling that area of the iPad as well. The case didn’t have any offensive smell that required offgassing, so that was an immediate improvement over the last case I tried. The navy blue I chose is a nice color, but I am slightly disappointed in the choice of colors offered. Would have loved an orange case. Other than that, all positives, and a great item. Definitely worth the money.

I was looking for a simple, affordable cover that would simply stand my iPad up and protect it from scratches. I got exactly all of that with this cover!I love that the cover is very slim, light weight, and has a very clean/minimalistic look. It has that smart shell wake/sleep function where it turns off my iPad when I close it and turn it on when I open it. The case fits very well too.It has little to no cushion/shock absorbing technology. So I would say that if you have kids using the iPad or if you tend to toss it around more, I would not recommend this case for you. However, if you just looking for a light case to protect from scratches and to help stand up your iPad when using, this case is perfect for you!

I like this case a lot. It fits my 2017 iPad perfectly. The holes are very slightly skewed, but not so much that they prevent anything from functioning. My camera still works fine, the charge port and speakers are clear, etc. I really like the sleep wake feature because I have autism, so I use my iPad for a lot of vital things (speaking when needed, emergency info, sensory calming apps, etc.) which means I need my iPad to be on me and switched on at all times. The sleep wake feature helps conserve vital battery life. This case is very slim and lightweight, which I also appreciate, as I didn’t want to add any extra weight, given that I carry the iPad everywhere. This also means however, that I wouldn’t recommend this case for children, people with more severe autism, or anyone prone to dropping things, as the protection it offers is quite limited. The case is generally smooth, with just enough texture to make gripping it easier than just gripping the iPad with its sleek, shiny back. It’s also a good surface for decorating with stickers etc, as the solid red color might be a little blah for some. The only minor complaint I have is that the power button is rather difficult to access through the case, and it takes a bit of pressure for it to register. This isn’t an issue for the volume buttons however, and given that I rarely if ever switch the iPad off anyway, it’s not a major hinderance to me. Overall I’m extremely pleased with this case, and would recommend it to those soloing for something slim and functional.

Excellent fit and soft feel. Minus a star because the colors aren't true to photos. Navy blue is much darker (tho prettier in my opinion) and gold has shimmer and the inside doesn't, so the inside is like a dark, muted marigold yellow. Both are still very pretty though. I don't have a picture of the navy blue because it was a gift so it's no longer in my possession.

Simple, provides far more protection than Apple's magnetic cover. The cover itself is much like Apple's. The joints are a bit stiffer than Apple's, but they will probably become more flexible with time. Apple's cover deteriorated at the top and bottom of the hinge. The hinge on this unit is integral with back case and the cover, and will not suffer the same problem. The hinge is flexible plastic, and may have its own problems in a year or ten...will have to see. Since the back case fully covers the back, the sides, and the corners of the iPad, this does provide far more protection than Apple's magnetic cover, even though the material is thin -- about the thickness of the thin parts of the cover. Since the material is not flocked, I expect that it will show much less wear and dirt; again, I'll have to wait a year to really see.

I searched all over for a full coverage case for my 2017 9.7 inch iPad. It may seem like a minor detail, but I hate the cases with cut-outs on the corners and sides for button access. This case is much like many full coverage iPhone cases and it provides coverage to the buttons on my iPad!!! Besides that, it fits perfectly and the auto sleep/wake function works just as described! My only recommendation to the seller is to start making this case with a softer, maybe felt-like inside of the front cover to allow for a softer material to rest on the iPad screen but one can always buy a screen protector if this is a concern, though not necessary. This is an excellent buy for the price!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to for how satisfied I am with this cover. For a fraction of the cost of the official Apple Smart Cover, this cover provides all the same functionality (auto sleep/wake, typing mode, stand mode) at a similar level of quality. Both the screen cover and the rear shell feel strong and unlikely to fall apart anytime soon. While the shell is a little flimsy on the charging port/speaker side of the tablet, it's nothing more than an occasional annoyance and not worth deducting any stars for in my eyes.Probably the nicest part, in my opinion, is that DTTO has put their logo on the inside of the cover rather than the outside. This way, when the cover is closed, it looks almost exactly like the official Smart Cover.I'll update my review if anything changes, but for now I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and won't hesitate to recommend this item to anyone who might need it.

Nice sturdy rubber, but the color is NOT Apple Gold.I got the gold version to match my gold Ipad and was disappointed with the color. Its cheesy and fake looking and removes the sleek nature of the iPad itself. Other than the color, I like the case - Easy to put on and remove, a sturdy rubber that feels like it will protect it if it drops ( not tested).

I was really surprised that the package arrived so quick even come to Hawaii. The case fits my iPad really well and I have to say, with more than 3 iPads and over 5 different cases, this is my first soft back case, and so far, the best one. It fits, feels good, the screen protector work with the case and can just fit in and cover the whole screen. No reason to complain at all for now.The screen protector looks high quality, the glass feels smooth and comfortable. Hope it will be an outstanding help to protect my eyes from blue lights.
