This thing works fine but there are some features that don't work well. Like the "Follow Me" function, doesn't work for more than 2 seconds and loses the target. Also, you have to scan the QR code every single time you fly it to pair the unit. Annoying. I think mine is defective.

Pros:I own a production company and bang for buck great and small. 1080p footage great and buttery smooth. Drone is great for run and gun film making. Small as my iPhone and low profile. GPS and return to home

Great Little drone, packed with functionality and featuresSo I've owned this drone for a little over year (early 2018) and upgraded to a DJI Mavic 2 zoom, however i bought this particular set for my brother in law for his bday and travel (March 2019). He lost his first drone (not a dji product) via fly away and was scared to try droning for over a year. Based on my own experiences i knew this drone would help him build the confidence to fly and get stunning footage. There are so many things good about this drone. it is stable in adverse conditions (less than 20 mph winds) and has about a mile range. I've been able get about 4000 - 5000+ feet range depending on conditions. It has great automation features for capturing amazing footage, the camera itself does an amazing job. As a novice photographer, i appreciate the fact that you can adjust ISO, white balance, etc, and have an onscreen histogram to adjust as needed. Overall for such a little drone, you can't go wrong. The Pros:It's Size, people are amazing by the quality of pictures footage you get for such a small drone... really small droneQuality - Compared to other drones of similar caliber, this one is king.Gimbal - 2 axis provides really good image stabilization. (trust me, 2axis DJI gimbal is really stable) On higher end DJI products ie Mavic 2 zoom, with 3 axis its almost unreal how stable DJI products are in windy or adverse conditions. I took the spark with me to Iceland in 2018 and got some amazing footage.GPS - This thing has some top notch GPS orientation, the return to home feature will not fail youBattery Life - I bought 3 batteries for this drone, each produces on average about 15+ minutes of flight. 15 minutes doesn't sound like a lot, but it is actually loads of timeCons - i wish it would fold like the air or mavicsOn paper, it is a higher priced drones, but it is worth every pennyOverall, i recommend this without hesitation. You will love this thing and more. Also i recommend buying a cable to directly link your controller with phone/ipad. if you're on the fence about this as a beginner or travel drone, just buy it You won't regret it. Also as an FYI i am not sponsored by anyone, this really is my honest review.

Very nice product. After purchasing a few different drones costing less than $100, I finally got the Spark. I can't believe how much easier it is to fly, and how much better control you have. Although some of my cheaper drones have been crashed and never flown again, even lost one in the wind. With this one I guess I'm more cautious because of the price, and this is just the entry level price of nice drones.

Very nice drone and good video on it. It’s smoothe and the live video quality is excellent. Takes some practice but once you have the hang of it you are good to go!

So glad I went with this drone instead of a less expensive one. This little drone is so easy to fly once you educate yourself on the functions. I use an iPad mini 4 which gives me a larger screen. Beginner mode allows you to fly without worry of going to far or fast. Could not be happier with this drone.

The spark is a great drone for the beginner. I was a beginner and my son told me about the spark. It was easy to learn. The phone app is easy to learn and the camera takes greats pictures whether you are 50 feet high or 400 feet high. The battery life is only about 15 minutes so I purchased a second battery.

I love flying this thing around! I have crashed twice and have had no problems, granted it fell onto grass. The range is 500-1000 feet with trees, I have gotten 2000 with no obstructions. 1080p is a little disappointing in 2019, the video can blur in high wind because the gimbal is only 2 axis. For the money, it is great!

First time buying a drone. This was the easiest piece of tech to learn I have ever bought. That fact that the DJI company has such a robust software and it comes with a flight simulator. Very cool. It an extra battery and charging pack. The battery last 12 minutes. Not enough time.

This is a very easy to use device. It's my very first drone and I'm happy with it.I won't go into a thorough review, but let me say that I do enjoy the video quality, 1080 is enough for me. I'm amateur and basically got this one to make aerial videos of my land. Ended up playing with it in the park and desert beaches. I think people fussing around with their drones in the crowd sucks, so that's not something I've tested, but I can say it's not as noisy as some other drones I've seen around. It's tiny and light, that impresses me. Some serious engineering going on here. :) The battery is more on the weak side... 11 minutes and you're done with all the fun. I ended up having to buy two extra batteries and now I can call it a decent time. Two down points in my opinion are, you can't plug the USB charging cable straight to the battery, that's not fun, coz then you either have to buy the additional accessory, or just plug the battery to the drone and charge it that way. Which is fine if you just have a single battery, but now I have 3 and you know the drill. But yeah, that's a minor. :)The other thing is image quality, the pictures don't come out with really nice resolution. Perhaps I'm too used to my S9 camera and the Fuji t20 =Dcheers.

I was very pleased with the DJI Spark with Remote Control Combo (White) it arrived fast. You do have a few steps to set it up but once I was done I found it very easy to fly and allot of fun (I still haven't tried all the features due to weather) the only down side is the battery life so make sure you purchase a few extra batteries . Great product & service from All e RC . *The Spark is white but I added stickers (purchased separate) to the top of the drone & the remote.

Smart drone. Love love love the DJI Spark. Crystal clear pictures and videos even at 393 feet high. The sport mode is a lot of fun to play with. Don’t wait to purchase the warranty you only have 48 hours from first use to purchase then it becomes a total hassle. The battery life is only 15 minutes so I suggest purchasing at least one more.

Photography or beginner drone, I recommend the DJI Spark. The remote is easy to use, there is a follow me mode, or use hand gestures to control. Turn off the safety features to fly in sport mode, you will be amazed by the speed and functionality of the spark.

Easy to use once setup. Took a little while to pair phone, remote, and drone together. But, after that it's awesome.

*** Don't forget to register to FAA! *** Also a lot of restriction for where to fly, goggle and go to FAA.gov about that first before buying any drone!***I got it for my husband for Christmas last year and he loves it. The whole family had an additional thing to do because of this little drone! Even grandpa Bob approves and loves the drone! (Almost the first time seeing him out in the yard not in front of the TV... lol Want your kids to play outdoor? Here's a perfect way)Anyways, the drone is very sturdy and the 1080p camera is totally enough for great quality filming. I also suggests to watch youtube vids and guides online first. My hubby didn't want to wait and tried it without learning how to, so he got confused and bit frustrated the first try... But after a few videos on youtube to learn how to do the gesture mode and sport mode, this drone is AMAZING to play with.Yes there's a lot of perks to get it as the first drone, if you are looking to start or just want a drone that is great quality, not those junk that are soft plastic and easy to break, this is the one for you.1. Small enough to carry, even it is not fold-able like Mavic.2. Lots of additional cases and accessories to purchase if needed. (My hub bought 2 extra battery with a recharge case from DJI and it's great! +20 mins of flying and recharge so fast! +30 mins for recharge = 60 mins flying total each trip)3. Decent price for this great quality. (It's pretty heavy duty, hit a wall + tree before and only the wings need replace - which is $10-$15 per wings! And the drone came with 2 extra to replace. Great!)4. 1080p Camera can do a lot and very fast to adjust the lighting (Good enough for youtube vids)5. It has a lot of different modes to try, so you won't get bored for a long while6. Battery is about 10-15 mins per 1 hour charge. But it's pretty good cause you will realize it's a long vids to record/take photos. Or even just to play with it. And that also help you plan on what to do instead of wasting battery to float and do nothing.7. You can somewhat customize some buttons. My hub set one of the buttons on control to instant switch camera angle. Nice feature!8. Buy it with the control please, you will regret not to!!! Using only mobile device is harder to fly the drone. Which the controller makes it way easier and allow you to fly smoother with fast turns and accurate control. The set I got with this price included:Drone x1,pair of wing x2,A charger that plug into the drone to charge battery x1,a USB cable to connect drone to desktop x1,Battery x1 (Is already on the drone when in box),Small guide books x3I have never seen my husband be so happy about his Christmas gifts.(Haha, I know my gifts were lame I know...e.g. Socks, Tools, Menswear,etc... ) It's almost a month now and he is still trying to fly his drone as much as possible, and also still a lot for him to learn. I can see how much improvement he did on flying the drone yet don't need to worry too much about damaging it, since it has a great hard shell and sturdy when it's floating way up high about 400 ft. So much more I can talk about but this is about all the main things why you should get it.But if you are looking for something that fly longer than 10 mins and you want to be a drone pilot/ use it the professional way, this is not really the drone for it. (Or could be, but won't be as professional)

Go online before you fly it and register the drone and buy the insurance! This is my husbands first drone so we went with this one because it has great camera but it’s not super expensive. This was a good decision since it hasn’t been a month and my husband crashed it yesterday and it’s destroyed. Thankfully we had the insurance so we just sent it in and paid $49 to get a new one.The battery last 13-14 minutes so make sure you get extra.Easy to fly for the most part just be sure you pay attention to recommendations on drone conditions and the number of satellites available before flying or it will crash and die :)

The drone appears to be a sturdy product. The instruction booklet is literally 3X3 with print so small you can't read it. They enclose a card for "drone school" which they want additional money for. We turned to YouTube videos to help with getting started. You must have patience, this is not a simple charge up and go. The battery life is 17 minutes, we purchased extra battery packs, by the time you start it up, sync to phone etc...you've already used up minutes of the short battery life. Still learning here, but the pictures so far are clear. Surprisingly it makes a lot of noise!

Recomendado

This is an amazing little drone, it has all the capabilities of all the larger drones and the performance, just not the battery life. DJI says up to 16 mins flight time in reality I've been getting 12 to 13 min if you push it. It's a great buy now because it's so much cheaper than it used to be and the firmware updates are great now all the bugs have been worked out. All in all super nice drone great experience. It was my second drone, I've been driving rc vehicles all my life I'm 32, and I've had a few close calls.

DJI Spark is a great little GPS drone. It is easy to learn to fly. Camera shoots some great HD Video even with Auto settings. Hovers very well for great shots. It is a very small drone which makes it really easy to travel with as well as a bit less intimidating than bigger drones. Flight times average 13-15 min., get extra batteries! Decent range with controller. DJI quality and so much fun!

Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase of this drone. The only downfall is it's battery life, which lasts 16 minutes. I am going to be buying more battery packs which cost about $50 each. I recommend this drone for anybody that is a beginner, like me. It has amazing video quality, is very easy to use, and is small and sleek. Would be absolutely perfect if it had about 25 minutes-30 minutes flight time. For it's price it is great though.

You cannot fly the Spark drone until it is initialized using the "DJI Go 4" app which is available only for Android and Apple iOS devices. Initializing also requires an Internet connection to DJI.com. That app can be put on an iPhone only if the iPhone is running an iOS version higher than 10.0. There are similar restrictions for Android smart phones. The older "DJI Go" app doesn't work with the Spark drone either. Getting the Spark, it's remote control, and "DJI Go 4" all booted up and the 3 gadgets linked to each other requires many steps and for a newbie many tries. It's definitely not ever a flip-three-switches-On-and-go drone. After the first time the startup is a few steps shorter but still complicated to get ready to fly with the remote controller and/or a smart phone. And occasionally mandatory firmware updates will put you into a similar complex situation. Until the Go 4 app is greatly improved this will not be a drone for the faint of heart. Watch the 2+ Spark videos on Utube written by Dustin Dunnill to get an in depth view of what to expect. If you buy a Spark buy an OTG (On The Go) cable. The cable allows you to connect the micro-USB on the controller to your iPhone which simplifies the firmware updates by allowing the phone's WiFi to only be used for an Internet connection. Also an OTG cable yields a better video feed from the remote controller to the phone than WiFi when you fly the drone.

Hey, the Spark is everything you’d expect and more. Super fun in sport mode and the video is VERY good at 1080p. This is an excellent entry level drone that is easy to transport and low key because of its size and relatively quiet flight characteristic. At 150ft it is almost inaudible. This combo was a good price and allowed me to decide if I wanted to spend on more batteries after I decided it was a keeper. It’s a keeper.

You can find tons of reviews on YouTube for the Spark. I’ve crashed this flying it in sport mode into a tree. Not a single mark of damage on the Spark. Great drone, but you will need a case to carry it all. The bag that comes with only holds Spark, remote, and extra battery.

I highly recommend watching a few YouTube tutorials before taking this out of the box. I did, and it helped my setup process go smoothly. The drone itself is a wonderful little piece of technology, easy to fly and takes good pictures. This is my “starter” drone so I could learn before dropping big bucks on the mavic pro 2.The drone is ultra stable, even in a stiff wind. I can see how flying in sport mode could be risky, I only use that mode when needing to fly fast without any obstacles nearby.I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a nice drone at a great price.

Dji spark is an amazing drone for the price. I would buy package with controller. Not a fan of hand or cell controller. Camera is really good for price, video is great for price as well. Also you don't have much control over pictures and video functions. Like dark/light/shutter speed etc. But they do come out nice. You can see quick video in one of my reviews

if you have android 9, first off, the app they tell you to get? yeah "DJI GO 4 since p4" its so buggy its impossible to do anything in that app. second the drone cant connect to any thing or scan anything if the app is bugged so its pretty much just a paper weight with props. don't bother messaging their support staff either because they have no clue what the issue is or how to resolve it. not only that from what i understand the APP has been bugged for a long time and doesnt seem to be getting fixed any time soon. as for the next best thing, litchi, which is a 25$ app from the app store, its now incompatible if you have android 9 because DJI refuses to update some coding on their end.

There ARE problems with upgrading the firmware for the radio controller. this update can fail and fry the internals on the rc. Forget getting help from dji. I didnt bother and got a new one and did NOT update the rc firmware. the update message still comes up but I ignore it. the dji go 4 app has got glitches. not sure if it is the app or because I am using andriod. the most problems I see are in the quickshot modes where the only mode that works the best is the "rocket" and "droney". the circle and follow is quirky. All in all I would NOT buy this again. And DO NOT let the battery get low enough for the app to take over and rtc. mine started a flyaway and I had to fight it to make it land close and safe and not crash.

Long story short: It's awesome! Don't think twice. Just buy it.Short story long: I really wanted the Phantom 3 Pro. REALLY BAD. I got it, and it had several technical problems (even though it was new). So, I found out that other people were having the same problem too. I was originally going to exchange it for another one, but once I found out that I wasn't the only person having this problem, I had one last option within my budget: the DJI Spark (which I was very skeptical about buying because of the lack of features compared to the Phantom 3 Pro).I returned the Phantom and and bought my Alpine White Spark from Best Buy (not Amazon). When I first got it, I had to wait for the controller to arrive since it was on backorder. I flew it with my phone, and I didn't have a very good experience because of the lack of usability and practicality. I finally got the controller and I cannot emphasize enough how much it impacts your flying experience and control. It is an absolute must-have! Anyways, I love the smoothness of the gimbal movements, even though it is only a 2-axis gimbal compared to 3 axis gimbals on other DJI drones. The camera quality is great, Wirecutter in photos.Another thing I am amazed by is the smart features. For example, you can use your hand to control certain features. Be sure to watch a video about these gesture controls if you haven't already. Also, it can track and follow an object. You can select yourself on the app and it will follow you wherever you go. Same concept with a dog or car.I love the sensor that can tell how far an obstacle is. If you are to close to a wall, it will not let you fly into that wall if you are in the normal flying mode. There is also a sport mode which let's you got really fast. I've gotten 34 mph from it! This mode, however, turns off the smart features and reduces the camera stability.I have flown 400 feet high (the FAA limit), and it does just fine. You will experience lag and low signal in the video transmittion here and there, but it works fine. Just be careful where you fly it, because there can be more interference in some places more than others. Never fly near power lines. The problem is, I have a bunch of trees where I live, so I have to fly pretty high. The drone is built really well. I have crashed it from 10 feet high and landed onto concrete and it has a couple of times scuffs. The controller is built very solidly. It doesn't feel cheaply built by any means. I really find the gimbal dial really useful to help you get those smooth, cinematic shots.Besides all the perfect things about this drone, there are three problems I would like to address. First of all, the propellers are fragile and break very easily. I crashed it and all of them were dented and two of them broke. Luckily, it does come with one cw and one CCW prop in the box, but you'll definitely need more. I ordered more genuine props and they're pretty expensive for a little piece of plastic. Second of all, I have noticed camera vibrations. When I'm flying straight down, especially in sport mode, I noticed a lot of vibrations and shakeable, but it might be just my unit. Finally, a minor but important problem is the battery. The battery life is very short if you're trying to get some good shots of the sky and it costs 50 bucks for a new one. Not too unreasonable. The camera I a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong: the quality and stability is amazing, but the resolution is only limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second. I'm okay about the fact that it cannot record in 4K, but DJI should've at least let it record in 69 fps. Maybe in the Spark 2.0There are a bunch of accessories I would recommend for this drone. If you live in the US, you will need to register it with the FAA by law. It only costs 5 bucks for 3 years.Since this comes with a controller, you'll need a case. I does come with a case in the box, but that only fits the drone, not the co troller and accessories. I got a good hardshell one from Best buy for 10 dollars which is very protective and hold a great amount of accessories. You will definitely need a camera gimbal guard to protect it whenever the drone isn't in use. You will also need to buy extra props at some point. You can find a bunch of good accessories on Amazon for relatively cheap. The most important add-on for this drone would be DJI Care. It is $60 for the first year and $40 for all the years after that. I would get it because if you crash it or it falls into a pool, it is all covered by this warranty. Though flyaways aren't covered, they will cover water damage. If the problem is beyond repairable, they'll send you a new one for $50 the first time and $70 for the second. You'll have to buy it within 48 hours of the drone's activation date. The reason is say this this is a must have is because it is better to spend $60 just in case rather than spending $400+ on another new one.All in all, if you are a project or a beginner, you will have fun with this drone either way. It is so small and is so practical for transport. I wouldn't trade it for anything.I have also included a lot of pictures of the drone, controller, as well as the actual footage from the drone's camera. I also put together some footage that I got into a 1 minute cinematic. This review was not paid or anything. Just my opinions. Considering the fact that I typed this on my iPhone, it took me a lot of time, so I would really appreciate it if you could click the button below that says "I found this review helpful" or "yes." Thanks for reading, and I definitely recommend this drone!
