So much fun and easy to use!
Great drone. Even better is the fact that there are replacement parts quickly available and can be replaced easily without having to send it back. Son had a hard crash, broke an rotator arm. We actually used the original but replaced it with a new one anyway. Great quality product.
Bought this for my son. Far exceeded my expectations.
This is a great deal, I am very happy , Love that it has 2 Batteries.
This is a nice drone when it works but unfortunately, it won't fly in some places that are perfectly legal for us to fly in.DJI does have a way to unlock the aptly named "no-fly-zones" but they advise that it can take up to 5 days to unlock which doesn't work if you have short-notice from clients or run a news operation. I have more details below if you're interested but that's the crux of our problems with this drone.---I run an 8-pilot, 10 DJI-aircraft operation for a news station in Denver, CO. One of our missions is to provide aerial footage in support of the breaking news operations of the station. This mission, as you can imagine, often allows us little notice. Such notice is often less than 2 hours and is much less than the "up to 5 days" that DJI advises can take them to unlock an "NFZ".In practice, we've recently been blocked by an improperly drawn DJI No Fly Zone or "NFZ" (note, I wrote "NFZ", not "GeoFence" which is much easier to unlock via DJI's app) near the Denver Centennial airport. Our pilot was unable to complete their mission because the operation area fell within the improperly drawn DJI "GeoFence" and "NFZ" zone. The motors wouldn't even start. We've reached out to DJI's legal, marketing, media and sales departments in search of a reasonable solution for the operation and so far we've received only one reply from their marketing department with an unexplained refusal to assist us in the matter.Every one of our pilots are Part 107 Certificated. We have in-house training above and beyond the Part 107 training. We also use the LAANC waiver system to provide us access to airspace near our local Class D airports. In addition, we have a relationship with local helicopter operators and establish communication with them prior to our operations near Heli pads. We are a legal, proficient and safe operation unable to do our jobs because of DJI.We've begun to explore other aircraft platforms, such as Autel and Yuneec in hopes of finally ridding us of this mess.
I've build drones from scratch and have flown many quad-copters, planes, and RC helicopters. Most of them didn't have GPS, return to home, and a stabilized camera. This is the easiest drone I have ever flown, seriously! - and the most expensive I've ever owned :) The camera and image are outstanding! You are not supposed to fly this (or any drone) out of "line of sight", however, the camera and controls make it very easy to fly and get amazing photos and video without having the ability to actually see the drone (of course I don't recommend it....). The only issue that I had is that 1 of 3 batteries I received with the drone (I purchased the fly more package) was DOA.... Wouldn't charge, didn't work at all. I had 2 other batteries so it wasn't a big deal. DJI replaced it for free - I submitted a service ticket and they gave me a brand new battery in 4 or 5 days after they determined it was defective. Nothing but great flights, images and video! I recently crashed because of a tree branch - neither me nor the drone saw it :) I sent to drone back to DJI (for free). I broke the gimbal ($250 part + 100 labor). I've always had to fix my own quad copters/helicopters/RC planes. I wasn't sure if it was the mechanical gimbal part or the electronic board everything plugs in to. DJI has a very informative repair process where you can ship it to them for free, get a quote for repairs and decide whether you want to pay for the repairs or return the drone - free shipping both ways regardless of whether you have them fix it or not! Good stuff! I had them fix it :) (actually in process now) My only issue (4/5 stars) is that the initial battery I received when ordering a new drone ($900 later) was DOA. However, they resolved my issue without any problems in a reasonable amount of time. If it was the only battery I received with the drone, this would be a very different review :) Other than that, they rock!
This is an excellent product, I had it shipped to my mom who was on trip to USA and she on her way back brought it back to Pakistan. This product has an inherit weakness and that is its Gimbal, without warning you, It would someday earlier or later would start to throw Gimbal Over Load error and most of the folks out their exactly know the issue is mostly resolved by replacing the Gimbal ribbon. Now, I have learnt my hard lesson that is never travel without a gimbal lock in its place and annoying thing is, it’s hardly impossible to find the technical support inside Pakistan because Dji does not provide technical support to most of the countries and issue on my Dji mavic pro came without a crash and during travelling.Anyway, I am a technical person, I always known, if you like to keep a machine, you should also have ability and expertise to perform all sorts of repairs on it otherwise, it always going to be disappointment and rip-offs. I learned a hard lesson, you should always have an extra Gimbal, few ribbons and video cable as accessories present with you apart from carrying bag, extra batteries and lot of accessories which you buy later for it.Gimbal ribbon replacement on this is not straight forward and simple for new person, I ended up spoiling both the ribbons the first time I tried, obviously a big disappointment for the trip. Reason behind this was that most of the fellows teaching on youtube videos clearly misses the installation of middle part of ribbon and quotes something different and later once they figure out skips out on that part of video. Later on, once I had nothing to do, I got an idea, ironed my spoilt ribbon while new one was ordered and tried becoming expert on it that is where I figured out. So, apart from few ribbons and video cable, one should also have a spare gimbal so that he may practice on it and have it ready if issue arises then without wasting time, he should replace the entire and later once he had time, he could refurbished the old one.A part, if folks in Pakistan are interested in more tips, then let me clarify that Pakistan does not have any specific drone laws but rule of thumb is, never fly anywhere close to the military or government installations. Further, make sure, once you fly, try not to attract lot of audience as drones still are not common in Pakistan and they not knowing the laws would try to confiscate it from you or you may end up doing lot of explanations. Do not fly where it bothers anyone or he/she may be curious. Much better would be, if you are on a trip, try take permission from local law enforcement agency, ask them if it’s ok for you to fly the drone and once they are on your side, try not to bother the locals in-order to avoid any complain. If you can’t do that, try find open areas with hardly any population.
I bought a NEW Mavic Pro a couple of days ago. Box was slightly beat up but it was sealed. However something was off, a couple of blemishes and greasy fingerprints. I wonder if I got a refurbished or a returned one. Maybe dji doesn't do a good job at packaging drones. Drone works fine no problem there.
I love it better than my phantom 3s
My father has been wanting a high quality drone for years. He has purchased a few, but has never purchased a very high-end one for himself like this. So, for his 66th birthday this year, I wanted to get him a high quality drone. I did my research and decided that DJI was, by far, the best company for drones and was going to place the order here on Amazon. The only hang up was that he was unsure which model he wanted. Sadly, I did not purchase his Mavic Pro from Amazon, although I wish I had one of the bundles that come with extra batteries (which he really needed). This ended up being a last minute gift, only because we wanted him to be able to pick out the one he wanted and he refused to tell me a definite answer, as he didn't want me to spend "too much" on him.I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep this gift a surprise, and didn't want to, because I wanted to let him pick the model he wanted. He refused, so his girlfriend and I started texting about going to a local store that is open 24 hours a day at around 2am as soon as he turned 66 to buy the one I thought he would enjoy the most. He decided it would be a good idea to read all of her text messages while she was getting ready for our after midnight adventure (which I knew he would do; he loves to read her texts) so, when he found out about my plan, he insisted on tagging along. This was perfect: I could get him to go with us and decide from his reaction which one to get him. Devious, I know, but sometimes you have to be to get someone you love the perfect gift ;)I just had to tell this backstory before giving you the pros and cons because my father said this is his favorite gift in all of his 66 years on this planet. That is extraordinary, because he has been gifted some very nice things over the years.PROS:1. This drone is lightweight but sturdy. It has a built-in camera that pairs with almost any smart phone or tablet with ease, and takes the most beautiful and detailed aerial shots ever!2. This drone comes with lots of extras (if purchased here on Amazon or from DJI).3. This drone can reach amazing altitudes! Please, watch a few YouTube videos until I can post some (trust me, you will be amazed)!4. The drone itself hovers as steady, and as silently as a hummingbird, with no tilting or shaking.5. The take off speed is so astonishing, and the lights so amazingly bright, my father's neighbor thought she saw a UFO and came outside the first night he flew it.6. My father has not stopped talking about this drone, and is finding new things it can do every day since his birthday. He always calls and jokes about how he is taking off or coming in for a landing and asking if it's all clear. The joy it has brought him is well worth the price a million times over.7. I truly love DJI for making such a professional quality drone available for public use that has brought my father such endless happiness! This drone makes an amazing gift!CONS:1. The only thing I could even list as a con is that the drone does need an FAA license to fly over certain areas, which isn't really well known before purchase. This is no big deal though, because it is easy to get and very fast to receive the licensing, proper documentation and decals.2. This drone could inspire many to listen to "Danger Zone" on repeat while flying; it is that fast, and the aerial footage is that realistic!I would recommend DJI and the Mavic Pro to anyone who is an avid drone user, whether they are a professional, adventurer, or hobbyist!I have seen other drones in flight, and the Mavic Pro is the Top Gun of them all! Please rate my review as "Helpful" if it helped you :) I like to read reviews before buying and return the favor, so when I find a great product (or a bad one) I enjoy sharing my experiences, because I like many of you rely on reviews before purchase :)
This product is out of this world! When DJI released their first line of drones I bought their Phantom 3; however, ever since I have purchased the DJI Mavic Pro I wouldn’t change my choice of drone for anything else. I own a videography company that offers drone work for our clients, and I have found that this drone is by far the best drone on the market due to its ergonomic profile, its “smart” features, and its reliability. This Mavic Pro is insanely ergonomic. This drone not only fits snuggly in my camera bag, but I have put it in my pocket and even the cup holding counsel in my car. If you value size and portability, then this is the drone for you. If you are always on the go, someone who will bring a drone on a road trip, a hiking trip, or even out of the country the Mavic Pro is the right fit. When you are considering a drone for its features what would a smart drone look like in your mind? This product is much smarter than you would think. It has sensors, so it can avoid obstacles in its way, it’s has a camera track option so it can follow you, it has a tripod mode that reduces the acceleration immensely so it is accessible to fly indoors, it can even fly in a perfect circle around a designated object, and much much more. Due to these features, you will be able to get angels and smooth aerial shots that no other drone on the market can get. If you are someone who wants that edge in filmmaking or even just a hobbyist that enjoys flying drones this product will not let you down! Reliability seems impossible when it comes to the drone world. Many people have seen drones crash, fall in water, and even just get lost. How can you trust a drone? You are in the right spot my friend. The Mavic Pro has got your back. You can trust this product because of the various specifications intended for the Mavic to avoid if not all but most tragic accidents. The Mavic Pro has a build in GPS so losing it is never a problem, even when flying miles away from you. The sensors on the drone have saved itself from crashing multiple times, in my experience, as it literally can fly around trees, buildings, poles, etc. It has not failed for me in over a year and the continuous reviews on this product say for itself. Many people will avoid buying a drone at this price because of these chances of unreliability, but I cannot stress enough that this product will exceed your expectations. Being a videographer, I am constantly taking this drone out onto video shoots. It has been by far my best camera yet. If you are looking into making films or videos, or even just someone who wants to fly a drone around, this drone is the right fit. Despite the height in price, the Mavic Pro will not disappoint you. How you could say no to a smart flying 4K camera that can avoid object midair, and at the end of the day fit in your pocket? I couldn’t.I hope at the least got you thinking more into buying the DJI Mavic Pro, I’d recommend watching YouTube videos or reading reviews to get a further understanding of what this product can do. I hope I was able to help, and best of luck on your drone purchase.
Great drone and everything works great except the extra battery was bad.
Is an awesome aircraft, you can see the great engineering work on it, compact, smart and. Just the plastic cover that protects the gimbal camera it was broken, no big deal, but I think that it's necessary to have it
Great starter drone.Used for personal picture taking.
I bought this as a Christmas present to myself......and I don't feel guilty at ALL. It does GREAT. Set up was easy. Gonna buy a new tablet to have a bigger screen to use.....but can't say enough great things about this thing. Know it can be pricey....but you get what you pay for.....and this is AWESOME.....highly recommend.
This is a great quad copter for the money. It was introduced in 2016 and the advancement in this industry is amazing. The Camera is really nice except I was spoiled by the autel EVO that was introduced early 2018 hence technological advancement. The price point has come down since it’s introduction. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. If you are a professional photographer or casual user it will get the job done. Theee are many of this model out there. I always wish that you could take the best of every model and combine it into a custom setup. Very intuitive operation but read the instructions. It will help to know if you ever lose control of the unit. It will happen sometime. Trust me.
it's really nice to have the two batteries
Drome pretty good, but the second battery doesn’t work, comes in bad conditions and opened . And only comes with two extra blades not with fourt .
Really good quad copter, great camera, accurate control, auto return really good. A lot of controls that take some learning but simple basic controls, Overall unbeatable for the price.
I got the order in good time and was as described. Took the drone for a few flights without any problems. Love this drone!
I purchased this drone after the price had dropped significantly last month. Have had a blast - no regrets. For the price point - you can't beat it.
Takes for ever to get the 107 license, the drone must be registered with the FAA
Love my Mavic Pro! Performs as advertised with great features.
completely satisfied. product showed up in perfect condition, fast shipping. its a great item to own. i have alot of fun with it.
I have been flying drones for about a year. The Mavic Pro is by far the best camera quality and the drone control is awesome.
