I was lucky enough to grab this for $799 before it went back up in price. Mine was brand new, and worked with zero issues out of the box.Pro tip: Anyone who didn’t know, or that is new to Mac, the “extra three pronged cable” isn’t useless. As seen in my second picture, you can detach the “two pronged” adapter, and snap on the other. This not only about doubles your cord length, but it also makes it so the computer is plugged into a grounded outlet. For cord management, flip up the sides on the adapter to wrap the cord around =] (also pictured). For all of those put off by “One Star Reviews”, just know that this is a top notch apple product, with an intel core i7, which is lightning fast, and (at the time of this review) comes with the latest operating system! You literally can’t go wrong for the price. Anyone who used a previous Mac OS’s, and didn’t like the interface, Mojave is much better and probably the best I’ve used. The only “negative” I would say, is the storage space. With that being said, just buy yourself a usb 3.1 flash drive. I literally bought a 128 GB flash drive for $25, which is the SAME SIZE AS THE HARD DRIVE. Double the space, and adds portability for files/programs? It’s a no brainer.

I ordered my Macbook Air and When it came it was a new computer still in the shrink wrapped box from apple, Went up to apple and purchased the apple care (3 year warranty) with no problem. You normally cant touch one of these for under $1500. This is my second macbook air and love them, only reason I bought another one is so I can give my other laptop to my mother to use. If you want a great laptop, here you go. I only use apple products for laptops & phones, they work like a power house and never have a problem with them. I have my windows main computer also, but I use my laptop for work and watching tv. If you have never used a mac, try one, you'll be glad you did.

DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!!!! I was excited to get this one because I wanted a newer model that still had all the USB and SD cart ports. But after wa week I started getting horrible migraines and serious eye pain. I even went to the doctor because I thought something was wrong with my eyesight. Turns out, the non-retina display on this laptop is absolutley horrible and makes the text incredibly fuzzy — so bad that it literally hurt my eyes. When I took it into the apple store the genius bar employee said he had the same experience with this model and so I was forced to buy ANOTHER laptop in a newer model. Seriously, this laptop is trash. Save yourself the time and the medical expenses and get a model with retina display (even just staring here long enough to write this is beginning to give me a headache).

I was extremely hesitant to buy this MacBook Air because of the negative reviews about refurbished units, but I am so glad I did. I received a BRAND NEW MacBook Air, exactly as described. It was delivered in the original box and according to Apple, was a brand new unit. It booted up without issue, ran smoothly and quietly, and worked perfectly when syncing to my iPhone and Apple Watch. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend you take the leap and purchase this laptop without a second thought.

The big problem with this version of the Macbook air is the SSD that it uses. It is unique and requires a special connection to be able to work with it. The amount of memory space that this thing comes with is pitiful, and I'm not even talking importing your music library to have while you do work tasks or school tasks on it.Good luck trying to buy a newer better SSD and getting it to work! I tried that, and because Apple is no longer what it used to be and only cares about the very wealthy, again good luck getting support when you try it yourself. The machine is extremely stubborn about taking the new SSD, that's even creating a USB boot drive ahead of time, having a separate instance of the OS to boot from that was a previous fully working instance of the OS; and still the machine doesn't want to recognize there is a new SSD inside via disk utility or "Recovery tools" to format it and install the OS.Even trying to do internet recovery and install from Apple's servers would not work because they have special requirements that your router may or may not meet depending on how old it is. So all around Apple is just saying "Ew! Poor people! We don't want your business and we don't want you using our products!" It's a far cry from Apple's origins like that 1984 ad.If you're just a casual computer user and don't care about customizing, optimizing, memory, or speed; then have at it.

I paid about $100 less for a NEW never opened Apple MacBook Air computer from "Electro Express" on Amazon than I would have if I went to Apple directly. The problem is that it broke 8 months after I bought it. No problem right? Apple products have a 12 month warranty. True. The problem is that these re-sellers have old computers. Apple starts the warranty clock when "they" get them which in my case was 14 months ago. So basically I bought a computer with a 6 month warranty. Long story short: the repair is $475 and "Electro Express won't return my emails. Buyer Beware!

When researching whether I should get this or not alot of the Youtube videos said that buying a MacBook Air in 2018 may not be worth it due to the quality of the screen and that some of the Mac offerings were much better, given that they had USB-C ports etc. Im not a fan of all the usb dongles and adapters and prefer working with a straight up 3.0 USB port. I also want to be able to transfer pics (gigabytes at a time) from my dslr to my computer at any time and as such I use SD cards. So this laptop with its SD card slot and usb ports work great for me. With respect to the SD card though please note that your standard dslr card only fits halfway through the SD card reader on the air.The screen is obviously not "retina" quality but is fairly decent. The computer loads pretty quickly and and the battery life is amazing (one of they key reasons I bought this) easily powers through that long meeting or workshop..which comes in handy when everyone else is hogging up the few power outlets available.

Took a while to bite the bullet and invest in a Mac as they are rather pricey. I am so glad that I did though! I just love this laptop. It’s so lightweight and the battery lasts a full day so I don’t have to drag a charger around with me. I have used laptops for years and this is the first one that I have found that is truly portable. If you are wanting a good laptop to take with you to school, work or the local coffee shop, I would recommend picking this one. Even if you are new to Mac as the operating system is easy to pick up on.

What a difference to have a modern Mac! My 2009 had been struggling for 2-3 years - it was pretty awful. I love everything about this one except that it's a little large for me - it kind of wobbles on my lap. Fine with a lap desk, though. Does everything a Mac should and almost as light as my Lenovo Carbon Lite from work. I do miss the the black around the screen instead of silver, but that's a quibble. The magnetized power cord is better than it was in 2009, but I keep knocking it out. Essentially, that's a good thing, it a little annoying.I have some annoyances with the current system, but that's nothing to do with the hardware.I'm a little nervous about the limited onboard storage. I don't want to use iCloud - it's always deciding that my password it wrong (it isn't - I use 1Password) and they recovery is brutal. It always takes several changes until it sticks - and then I have to change every other Apple thing separately. Drives me crazy. Anyway, I put my whole old computer's drive-worth on here and it's fine, so maybe I shouldn't worry.

Overall I am happy with this device with 1 issue.Im use to purchasing refurbished iPad's but always get my mac laptops and desktops new.. This time I decided the price for this unit was too good to pass up for a refurbished. So I decided to get it, to replace my old 2008 MacBook. Upon delivery, the corner of the Mac box was bashed a little, but there were no signs of damage on the unit overall.Sometimes you may get other labels over the original apple model number, which makes the device questionable. This wasn't the case here as everything looked like you just bought it from the Apple store. It boots up very fast, holds a charge very well and all ports, screen, camera, and audio work great. The reason 1 star is gone is because after 1.5 weeks of purchase with barely any use, the trackpad had failed. Luckily Apple is replacing it as we speak but itll take about 5 days to do so. Bummer. But overall it was in brand new condition. Worth the price.

Newest unopened box 2017 Macbook air at an amazing deal. I was a bit hesitant to order due to some of the reviews found amongst several amazon sellers and listings, but the deal was great, so I figured, why not. Besides, the cost is so low and zero tax charged in New York State, where my county is 8.75%, I saved a bundle. Just under $300.Shipping: The next day the order was showing up as delivery unavailable "we'll email you with a date" even with 2-day Prime, so I got an adjustment from Amazon for the trouble and was considering canceling all together. Turns out it arrived on time regardless and with no notification until an hour before delivery, call me surprised when it actually showed up on my doorstep. Besides that inventory hitch... an excellent purchase from the good deals seller.Packaging: The package arrived intact. The apple box itself is brand spanking new, with the slightest ding in it. Nothing to write home about. The housing seems legit to me, as a Mac owner of several types, what did seem off was the inside of the box seemed to have rips in it. Not a big deal. It is Chinese made after all. As far as I can tell this is brand new from the factory.Product: Came with high sierra 10.13.3 and I was able to update to 10.13.4 a few days later which significantly made it faster and more secure. As a product, its good enough but I prefer my desktop macs vs laptop macs anyhow. Lacking retina does not bother me at all and I can't even tell the difference from my IPS monitor on my custom mac mini. I do like that there isn't as much glare as with the retina. My friends and colleagues have some and on a sunny day, I get less glare distraction. The reason I purchased the air vs the macbook is the ports and the wider keyboard. This computer is wicked light and, had I gone with the smaller more expensive macbook 2017 gold, I would have felt cooler but ultimately been less productive. As a marketer for several businesses and a retired packaging designer. I really love the ease of use of the air. The keys could be a smidge bit smoother, in that the clicking causes a bit of strain on my hands. Nothing that can't be handled with a few more coffee breaks. And more significantly are the ports availability. I can air drop files back and forth or use google drive for the rest, so memory has yet to be an issue. In the even I find it a hassle, I found a few companies that will boost the drive with more flash memory if need be.All in all, wicked satisfied with this purchase.

I've always have a desk top computer, but this is my first laptop and I love it. Its light and easy to use and I can take it to work with me and do work there. I did buy a mouse and I love that I can plug in the usb and use the mouse, or I can unplug it and sit on the couch and also use it there. Its very convenient, I can use my printer with it and it does all the same things the desktop did, but this one is so much easier to use.

Hardware wise the device works great but I had some challenges after it did an update. ITunes stopped functioning so I had to reinstall the os. After reinstallation the tutorial had some glitches so I had to abandon that and just use my intuition to figure stuff out. This is my first mac book air. I usually use a pc. Apart from the few software issues at the beginning it has been smooth sailing from that point on.

This is my first Apple laptop and it is a good one. Seems to last forever on the battery, quick and very functional. A little while getting used to it (versus Windows), but all-in-all a great piece of machinery. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I use to like PCs....but after Windows 7 everything is just buggy. I bought a name brand PC around 6 months ago, because I was having so many issues with my PC. After buying the new one I realized I had the same issues with the same buggy operating system. I been talking about getting a Mac for a long time. I saved around a hundred dollars buying it on here. I received a brand new Mac Air. It is light, starts up fast, and runs every operation flawlessly. It is the prefect size for fit and function (along with ease to travel with). I already have other Apple devices so storing everything in the cloud was a snap. It also runs Windows Word and Excel (Mac version) perfectly. If it lasts as history has shown I will be a return customer. I don't regret spending the money for the computer, but why did I won't so long?

AMAZING. I have wanted a MacBook for so long but wanted to wait until the purchase itself made sense for me. I was a little weary about purchasing online but after I read the other reviews I was sold. This laptop came brand new in the box, with all new accessories to go with, instructions, warranty info, and the setup itself was so simple. Super happy with my purchase, thanks amazon & apple!!

This is exactly what I was looking for! I was really skeptical about ordering a new MacBook off of anything besides Apple or Best Buy but now I don’t regret one thing! The laptop came brand new wrapped by apple, which was nice to know! The laptop works very well and was in pristine condition!

Received earlier than expected. Perfect - in sealed original packaging - brand new. This replaced my MacBook Pro from 2011, so obviously this one is way thinner and lighter then the previous one. I was a little hesitant about the 128GB of storage, since my iPad has 256GB, but this will be sufficient for my needs. On my previous version I had way more storage than what I needed and the slowness of the processor is what prompted me to purchase a new one....not the lack of storage. Mac/Apple products have never disappointed me.

This computer is beyond amazing. I have been able to do so much with it. I love how it syncs to my phone and watch. And my documents are easily accessible.

The best computer I've ever owned. It is light, powerful, easy to use, and does everything I need it to do. The battery life is fantastic. I've never gotten below 50% even though I use it for hours at a time. It has a lot of useful built-in apps such as Numbers. I couldn't be happier, great computer.
