I almost canceled my order for these shoes after reading reviews from customers complaining that these slip-ons were too narrow, but these shoes fit perfectly and are super comfortable. They aren’t tight and my toes have some wiggle room. They give you a bouncy stride when you walk and are very light, feel almost weightless on my feet. Nice change of pace from wearing heavy work shoes that can sometimes feel like anchors weighing me down. Gotta change it up sometimes.I’ve only wore them on a few occasions and don’t know how long they’ll last but these shoes are great so far. My only concern is keeping them clean.
Most comfortable walking shoes I've tried except for Allbirds brand which requires maintenance or replacement after a year or so, plus cost more. These feel may more sturdier, but socks are required.Comfortable in long burst. You won't get the immediate walking on air type feelingNo strings to deal with just slip on-and-go. May need to adjust the heal a bitStyle wise, personally i think it looks pretty plain. Has a minimalist design to it. Most likely not going to be commented on it by friends/family unless you wear it to a formal party/meeting or them mentioning that they notice you have new shoes.Branding is very subtle, most likely not going to notice it unless you're actively looking out for itSize. Fits well for normal fitting size; no need to go 1/2 size down or up. May be for those with narrower feet, heel can be a bit loose.Has a nice mesh design up top. Very breathable, just make sure you don't step into deep puddles of water or mud.Seeing that it's mostly mesh up top; it is collapsible with each other, so travel/packing friendlyLove the dubbed "Goga Pillars" on bottom. Acts like shock absorbers for every step you take. Issue is if you walk on rocky tarrian or through nature/gravel small rocks can get lodged in the crevices. Not really ideal for competitive athletic sports or nature hikes, but good for when you're walking around a lot on flat surfaces like concrete or wood floors. Some examples:Escort gf, wife, sister etc around the mallConventionsPower walking/casual strollsAmusement parksTrick or TreatingTouring a new country/on vacationAt work, if you have to be on your feet all dayVery situational pair of shoes, but very good at what it does.
These are great. Costco has been phasing them out plus they didn't carry the wide variety like Amazon does. They are very light with enough padding that isn't memory foam. They're easy to slip on and off and the little hole in the back is handy to grab as well. Actual size is to size, but too snug for me, especially if wearing socks, so I sent them back. I reordered them 1/2 a size larger and wide because my feet are sensitive to pressure and I prefer a loose shoe. They don't fall off. There is some arch, but not a lot. They have nice thick soles to help keep your feet dry if you step in a shallow puddle and will hopefully increase longevity. Only thing I didn't like was the dumb chain with the foam sample they attach to the back, understand it makes sense in a retail store, but seems excessive for packaging. Am considering buying another pair while I still can since the pricing here is good and the style isn't too fugly old man.
I wear size 8 mens EUR 41 for my running shoes but looks like 7.5 should fit me the best since it feels like more room is available. I tried Amazon customer care to exchange for a smaller size but they weren't helpful at all. I wasted 2 hours over span of 3 days only to find out that this is not possible. I made this purchase since I walk 20 mins to my work. With these I feel like floating. I usually walk fast so with some shoes I develop pain in my shin when I do so, not with this pair. I haven't used it for long, maybe I would update my review after I use them for a while. To Summarize in pointsLikes:-- Really Light weight shoes with adequate cushioning.- Bamboo lined footbed is great for sweaty feet and keeps them dry. I wear with no show socks.- Tapering midfoot design for improved arch support, Read more here https://patents.google.com/patent/US20170224049A1/en. This solves my problem of pain in shin when walking fast with other shoes.- Opening on the back, helps to pull this out or carry them like on sandy beach etc.- Vibrant color. Mesh design is great for air circulationThings to work upon.- Sizing might be little off. I recommend going 1/2 size down. More because these are slip-ons and if you have like a finger gap between the heel and the shoes it feels like they will come off.- Mesh are great for summer but in winters it can be chilly feet. Also he tread isn't great on Snow/ice. I am in Minneapolis and take sky ways on snowy/chilly days otherwise just wear my snow shoes.- Color scheme can be made better.I like mine by it can be improved.- Tread can be made better to deal with wet/slippery ground.**Update 07/15/18**I made an update like 2 weeks before but I don't see it so I assume it wasn't approved. After 5 months of regular use (2 miles daily) these has rips on the ankle area. I noticed, since my socks had a hole and I never had holes in my socks before. I have posted a pic of the rip. Quick solution was getting heel liner from Walmart. I hope it helps to other in similar situation, also use insoles to make up for the little extra wiggle if needed.I will update once I learn something more worth sharing. Happy walking!
I'm a big fan of Skechers and for good reason. The first time I came to the US, my aunt took me to a Payless and I instantly liked a pair by Skechers. That was 6 years ago and all my casual shoes have been Skechers since. This is no different. Very comfortable and lightweight. I'm in NYC so you can imagine the time I spend walking everyday. My only qualm with these shoes is that they run a bit large. I always buy 11M but this one is a bit roomier than I'd expected, or liked. Hence, knocking off one star. All things considered, I would definitely recommend these.
Good:- Very comfortable. I work in a laboratory and am on my feet most of the day. My feet are typically not sore at the end of the day with these on.- Fit as expected. Not too tight or too loose around the heel or top of foot. Getting the shoes on and off with the heel hole is easy.- Look great. This is subjective, but I like their look.Bad:These are the squeakiest shoes I have ever encountered. The design of the sole means that any water getting into the space around the supports means you're walking on a pair of loud geese. It doesn't have to be a lot of water either. Did it rain yesterday? Squeaking. Is it particularly humid out? Squeaking. Did you look at a fountain for more than 10 seconds? Probably squeaking.I've found that spraying WD-40 into the spaces on the soles eliminates the problem almost completely. But over time the effect wears off, so I have to re-apply. Seems like a lot of effort for a pair of shoes.
Unlike my previous experiences, with a few different models of Sketchers, this sneaker runs slightly smaller. The pair I purchased was tight in the instep and the length. The shoe style is the best looking of the Sketchers I own; unfortunately, they are the only pair of Sketchers that ran small. This particular model shoe, in my opinion, is the least comfortable of the Sketchers I have had over the years. This "performance" sneaker has held its size and shape through heavy use, better than the other models in this brand. Finally, these Performance Sketchers are the least comfortable. All Sketchers are fantastically comfortable. This model, albeit ample and well-made, is just not as comfortable as the others, with no reason or added functionality.
I work in a warehouse for 11 1/2hrs standing in one place for about a month now. My feet were killing me. I researched for about 2 hrs trying to find the best comfort in a shoe. I’ve never heard about Goga max so,,, I watched a video about the differences between memory foam and Goga max. Goga max is for higher performance and is an upgrade from memory foam. I tried on memory foam sketchers but have not actually bought them. I just wanted to feel the difference. Then I bought this and absolutely love them. It’s like walking on clouds. The only thing is, I have high arches and it does not support it much but my feet lasted a whole shift with minimal pains all month.I usually wear a size 8.5 and I have wide feet. They were a bit big on my feet and might go a size smaller in wide. But I am happy with my purchase.
From the description and other reviews, I was expecting this to be some really brilliant shoe for taking long city walks in and such. After getting them though, that's really not the case at all imo. They are a little to flimsy for that. The sides of the shoe are thin and flimsy, and sole of the shoe is kinda minimal and offers very little padding, and you wouldn't want to be out walking in this shoe if there is any water present, either coming down in the form of rain, or on the ground. It will go right through this shoe. That said though, I still like it! And even ordered a second pair! It's actually a really nice "around the house" shoe. It slips on and off with ease, and offers plenty of cushion for such casual walking around. It's also fine at work (I work in a casual work environment). And I really like that it is colorful and "fun" looking. Recommended! But not really for "walking", or anything but the most trivial of walking expeditions.
These shoes are really comfortable and think that I'll keep getting them as long as they are made. I have really wide feet, so I was quite happe to get the 3E version of this shoe. Unfortunately, it is probably a size too large since my feet slip around in it a bit; I bought the 10.5 as that is what my other Sketchers shoe is, though that is only a regular (the store we went did not have wide versions, but the larger one fit).Obviously this is not a problem with the shoe itself and just me erring on the side of caution. Anyway, I do recommend this shoe highly as it is both comfortable and is built very well.
I've never owned any Skechers and thought they were not too cool at all, but I saw these Men's Go Walk 4's described in a magazine and decided to give them a go. I am really impressed with these. Comfortable. Easy on and off. Fit as expected. While my daughter said they look like "Nurse shoes," I think she's being too critical. They are only slightly clunky looking, but what they don't have in style they vastly make up for in comfort. I can see wearing these for hours and being very happy with them.
Owned a pair of go walk 3's size 9.5 before these and decided to order same size. At first, the right shoe was a little tight but not uncomfortable, after a couple hours of wear it felt good, no tightness at all.To me they fit and feel almost identical to the Gowalk 3, which i love. I've said it before in my review of the 3's and i'll say it again here, if they would thicken the goga-mat cushioning by another 1/4 to 1/2 inch the comfort level of these shoes would go from great to AWESOME!!!!. I'm hoping the bottoms of these will hold up longer than the 3's bottoms as the columns on those have worn down after 2 years, then again I walk almost everywhere and on some rough and rocky surfaces at times. These bottoms are different so who knows, Only time will tell.
Really comfortable, however they are slippy inside and if you are walking down a hill your feet slide to the front. They do fit a little larger than other sketchers that I have so that may be why. Can't really tell that we'll in the picture but the toe area where the black meets the grey mesh, both shoes came with a little pucker around the big toe.
Perfect shoe for pt's with peripheral neuropathy vascular disease & diabetics.as always wear socks
"Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" is a very comfortable shoe - for those whose feet are sensitive to seams or the "rubbing" of well-fitted shoes. These soft shoes have no seams in areas that might bother sensitive feet. Although the fit is somewhat larger than average which also helps make them more comfortable for sensitive feet, it is not so large that the shoe slips off. The soft white sole does not leave marks on floors - something I appreciate after removing numerous black marks caused by my husband's Crocs.A size 11D in Brooks running shoes is perfect for my husband. These "Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" were slightly loose unless he wore them with athletic socks and an ankle brace. The shoes measured about 11 1/4" from center back to center front. The width of the heel area was not tapered and measured approximately 2 5/8" from side to side; the area for the ball of the foot measured about 3 3/8" across. The arch measured about 2 1/2" from side to side. For those having feet sensitive to seams and those who prefer a fit that is not snug, "Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" may be the answer. These make a very good house shoe or slipper and are reasonably priced.
I have extremely sensitive feet due to diabetic neuropathy. I am constantly looking for comfortable shoes to relieve the pain caused by pressure. I have purchased and given away many pairs of shoes that were supposed to be memory foam insole, but the insole was not thick enough or designed to alleviate pressure. This pair of Skechers Performance Go Walk 4 are remarkable. I have worn them almost constantly since they arrived and there is no foot pain. The insole truly relieves pressure. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone needing a walking shoe who has diabetic neuropathy. It is my first pair of Skechers but it will not be my last.
My husband has been recovering from knee replacement surgery. His regular shoes are more like leather orthopedic shoes. He told me they were quite heavy on his feet. After reading the reviews on these, I ordered them. He said they are like wearing a cloud. He kept walking so fast during therapy he kept actually walking too fast. He said they were so light and comfortable it felt like he was not even touching the ground. They have actually helped him to proceed in his physical therapy. Since he is able to lift his feet easier and walk more comfortably.
Having owned (and worn out) several pair of the Go Walk 2's, I can definitely say that I preferred their total fit and feel from a sizing pewrspective. However, that knobby sole on the Go Walk 2 often caused me an others I know that wore it to stumble and trip. It was time to get a new pair and I decided to give the Go Walk 4 a try.I wear an 8.5D very comfortably in most shoes and that was the case with the Go Walk 2. The narrower toe design of the Go Walk 4 absolutely required that I order a 9D for this shoe. Lots of people here have mentioned this issue and it is the very reason that Amazon will suggest a larger size before checking out. Even with a 9D, my toes are right at the inside front end of the Go Walk 4. Going to an even larger size would present too much heel slippage, so the 9D is as far as I can go. I am liking the "sole" design of the Go Walk 4 without all those grippy knobs that plagued the previous designs. My concern is that Sketchers is losing their perspective of just how comfortable a wider toe area is (Go Walk 2, etc) versus the narrower design they chose for the Go Walk 4. That was a strange departure that has produced an oft reported fit-issue with this new design. This could be my last pair of Sketchers and I'm certainly not buying more for right now. That is actually a shame because Sketchers slip-ons have been my go-to shoes for several years. I hope that someone at the company is addressing the design problem with the Go Walk 4 and will bring back the wider toe area for comfort and proper fit.
Very recently bought a pair of these, and a pair of Skechers for Work Men's Flex Advantage Slip Resistant Mcallen Slip On through Amazon, as well as a pair of Skechers Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer (bought in a brick & mortar outlet in Sept. '16).All were purchased in men's size 9, and can pass for casual shoes rather than looking like typical running shoes or "sneakers"Despite the uncertainty of purchasing shoes online, I went ahead and did it. Here's my experience:Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer:Because these were the first pair I bought, (again, in a brick and mortar outlet where I could try them on), I used them as the "standard" by which to judge the others. These are very light, and roomy to the point where I felt they may come off my feet in periods of high activity. They're fine for just walking around or hanging out on the deck, by the grill, or other leisurely activities. The toe has a wider "box", and my feet don't feel cramped at all. Very comfy, but not for active sports, plus they don't look so much like "sneakers", and, thankfully, have only minimal orange-colored accents or flair. The inner sole is wide; too wide for my narrow foot, and flat. There's no material inside the shoe that provides any amount of arch support. (My doctor has told me I have flat feet, but have never noticed any pain from shoes that provide no extra arch support. If you're in need of that, don't expect it from these shoes).Even with socks, they still fit comfortably loose.Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible:These are very light, but very snug, obviously not made from the same last/form as the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons.VERY snug for a size 9 These are much narrower, with a more sharply-rounded toe, and some leather-like material around the toe and the heel. The sole, also, is much narrower than the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons. While I can wear these for a few hours, they're too snug for all-day wear. I should have ordered a size 9 1/2, but again, the size I picked was based on how the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons fit. I probably should have returned these, but I've been wearing them for a couple of days and the soles have begun to show the wear. I'll likely order these in a 9 1/2 for extra comfort.Thankfully, these have no neon-colored accents.Skechers for Work Men's Flex Advantage Slip Resistant Mcallen Slip OnThese fit very much like the Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible: narrower, and very snug compared to the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons, apparently built from a smaller last/form than those. These do have some arch support, a very different sole/tread pattern, and are stiffer than either of the other pair. These, too, are very light, with some leather-like material on the outside of the shoe around the toe and heel.Like the Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible, I can wear these for a few hours, but will likely order a pair in 9 1/2.These, too, lack any flashy colors or accents and can pass for "casual shoes" instead of looking like sneakers.Bottom line: it seems as if Skechers has either changed the last/mold/form they use to make their size 9's, (at least since I bought my first pair in Sept. '16), or they use different ones for different models; I don't know for sure. If you can end-up with the right size, these should prove to be comfy for all-day wear. Except for the Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer, you might do best to order 2 pairs: 1 in your normal size, plus one in a half-size larger, and fully expect to return one of the pair.
$45 seemed a bit expensive for a simple slip-on.. but put these on and wear them for a few days; they make you feet feel like a Million Bucks! The size (11), that I ordered, fits properly on my foot, but feels a bit loose on the heel. But they are so lightweight, that it has not been an issue.I bought these to have a comfortable driving shoe ( I drive all day, everyday ), as I have suffered from Achilles tendonitis for the past several weeks and can be quite painful. These shoes have minimized the pain! I only wish that Amazon, or the vendor would make more colors available for each size.Added Note; 5 Jun 2017... After having worn these for a fe weeks, I needed to downgrade the rating from 5, to 4-Stars. Reason being, they are large for the size and loose in the heel, which is not a deal-breaker. Reason #2 is that the design of the soles pick up small stones and debris that will scratch the Dickens out of wood floors if you do not check them before entering the House. No sure if the Sketcher Folks had figured this one out yet?
I have owned two pairs of the Go Walk 3, and have worn them down with miles of walking daily. I was looking forward to the 4, both because of the perceived upgrade and what appears to be a reinforced toe area. Unfortunately, the 4 doesn't have the thicker midsole height of the 3, which means the heel is taller.I work at a standing desk and have been happy with the 3 version for more than a year for the comfort while standing. The taller heel of the 4, with no midsole height, causes my foot to drift forward in the shoe and squeezes my toes a little. I have wide feet and find the wide sizes of the 3 and 4 to fit very well, but when my foot moves forward in the 4, it eventually starts to hurt the toes.I find myself having to slide my feet back a little every half hour or so when I'm standing. The shoes are still great for walking and are still very light! My only reason for docking a star is the 3 was a better shoe for standing and walking overall.
love the design of this shoe- the cushion in the sole surpasses any other shoe I have ever owned and now makes everything else feel uncomfortable. Runs a little small and am exchanging for the next size up. Typically I wear a 10.5 but in this shoe I need the 11
Although different than the go walks 3 they are very confortable and feel good on my feet , I would say just slightly harder than the go walk 3But still very good, so I would recommend them too
Great shoes. Exactly as described. I bought them for my husband who has a very wide foot and has trouble finding a comfortable shoe. He remarked that these shoes are VERY comfortable and the soles are soft. They are great for standing for long periods and walking short distances. They might not be his pick for longer distance walks (though he hasn't tried yet) due to the limited lateral support provided by other style (lace up) walking shoes. Overall awesome. Very happy with the purchase.
Such a awesome shoe. I have the 3 and 4 editions and will buy them both again and again. They are the most comfortable shoe. For me with multiple back surgeries I ever wore.
