We purchased two of these to use for when we board our dogs (we travel extensively and they stay with a sitter on average 2x/month). We have two pups, both ~50lbs. They can be destructive when anxious so but they are very crate-trained and we got tired of packing up their metal crates, so we intend for them to be travel-use only. We bought the 36” because that is the size of their metal crates. When we got one of them set up, both the girls were immediately interested. One even went inside to eat a treat. We had no issues with them understanding it as a safe space. We were, however, daunted by the size (much more interior space than our wire ones), and thought we’d see if we could get them to share the space while at the sitters. Thus far we have used one for a total of 7 days in two different sitters’ homes. Both sitters report that our girls happily used the one crate together and saw it as their safe space in a strange environment. It is easy to set up/take down and VERY easy to carry/pack. It’s easy to clean (the inner pad is removable, the canvas of the bottom/sides scrubbable)We aren’t sure if we’ll keep both (we may return the unused one) bc our girls are happy to share and packing up one to go to the sitters is better than two!
I ordered the 42" crate for our chocolate lab puppy, Frank. The crate is huge, which is fine as I'm sure he'll grow into it. We got the crate as a portable kennel for our camper. Frank is crate trained at home, and I was delightfully surprised when he ran right in to "kennel up" for bed. He seemed to really like it. I was worried he'd try to escape or tear it up, but it is a very durable material that I don't foresee ripping anytime soon. Set-up was very simple and self-explanatory, even I could figure it out without my husband's assistance. My only complaint so far is that the little pad in there is white. Unfortunately it got pretty dirty after one weekend of camping and I'm not sure how it'd wash. I am also not sure how to wash the rest of it, but I haven't looked into it yet. Overall, I am so glad that I bought this. Frank sleeps well in it and I just fold it up and store it in the camper. Very satisfied
This is an amazing soft body pet carrier for this price range. The last one I had was poorly made and the bar that was supposed to hold it open, failed constantly (collapsed right on top of my cat). This carrier is HUGE! I bought the second smallest size offered because I wanted a carrier that was large enough for both my cats to fit in comfortably if I had to put them both in it for a road trip or an emergency. I have 2 cats- a 15lb male Hemingway/Siberian and a 10lb Calico Tortie female, and they could easily snuggle up together inside and there’s enough room for them to stand up and maneuver around without feeling smooshed. This thing is stupid easy to take from folded to assembled, and it has a handy little snap to keep it closed. This is sturdy for a soft carrier and quite well made (with pockets). I did go ahead and put an old folded bath towel in there to add some extra padding and make clean-up
So we bought this for car travel trips with our corgi so he would have a familiar safe place in strange hotel rooms. While there’s a learning curve, it remains true that setting up and collapsing this crate is a challenge. I absolutely would NOT recommend carrying your pet in it though— not unless they’re extremely lightweight; you’d be trusting the seams and fabric to hold them up. It’s well-made, however I don’t think it’s that well made.
Bought this as used for a little bit cheaper. So glad I did! It was practically brand new. After assembly we loaded it into the trunk of our LR4 and it fit perfectly. Our 18 pound schnauzer fits inside perfectly with lots of room to spare. We also tried it in the back seat and it fits perfectly as well. Lots of zippers and mesh walls so the dog can see outside and get air easily. Also comes with a detachable zippered bag. Love it! Can’t wait to use it on our next road trip with our fur baby.
I sometimes keep two active dogs in this crate (25 lbs and 12 lbs), and it has room to spare. My previous foldable soft crate got torn and bent. Torn by the dogs trying to scratch out, and bent when my nephew sat on it. My smartass dogs will sometimes scratch the zipper to open it, too. So far, this one is enduring all of the above.Besides that, it feels very sturdy and well made. It cleverly folds. Takes a lil effort to fold/unfold. All good.
I got this crate because I wanted a crate that would be easy to travel with. It’s light weight and easy to assemble and fold up. My fur baby loves his new crate. One suggestion for improvement would be making a clip to keep the door open when you want your dog to be able to go in and out on his own.
I’m glad I made this purchase! This is a nice, well built travel crate. It’s the perfect size for my 40 lb Cocker Spaniel. She has plenty of room to stretch out and yet it doesn’t take up the space the larger crates do. And she can see out from ever side. Plus the top unzips to allow easy access as well. And it comes with a little pouch that’s hooked to it but easily removable, for treats or toys.
The 30” crate is perfect for transporting my 2 cats. They are able to comfortably ride together and stretch out for 3-5 hour car rides. It is also fairly lightweight, so it is easy to carry with both cats inside, although the shape makes it a little awkward (but totally expected, it’s a giant box). Bonus, my 65lb dog *almost* fits comfortably inside too.
We bought this for our Chihuahua when we travel. It is collapsible, which makes it convenient to store when on the road. It folds open easily and provided plenty of room for our small dog. A larger size may have been more appropriate for our dog, but it did just fine. She’s 7lbs and was able to stand up straight and move around. We just prefer to give our dogs more room to move while kenneled.
This is great for travel!! Now we can just throw this in the Jeep and be on our way! This has replaced our bulky cage for trips to day care or travel. Super light really nice construction. Folds up so easily for storage. The dog loves it! We have a 40ish lb lab mix and you can see how huge the 42’ inch crate is!! My husband can even hit in there with her!! Lol!! So roomy! She loves to lay in there! Has a nice pad in the bottom for comfort too! So easy! I always struggled putting the crate in the car and now this makes it hassle free! Has great extra storage for her toys and snacks! Really nice attached pocket and a huge removable pocket! So convenient! Highly recommend! I even got the smaller one for a second car! We love it!!
This was definitely worth the purchase and perfect for what we plan to use it for (trip out of town when we need to give our fluff butt somewhere to sleep and decompress). Our 6 month old, 35lb Labradoodle fit perfectly in this and still had a little room to move around. He couldn't sit all the way up but that was good for us because it forces him to lay down and relax. He did roll this once while he was in it because it's very light weight. Nice for travel, not for a puppy who wants to play. It fit perfectly (folded) in my Jeep Renegade Trunk and that makes travel even easier because he sits in our back seat when we drive. Definitely wasn't meant for carrying while the dog is inside so definitely not suited for vet trips (unless you have a small dog or are using this for a cat, then I guess it would be perfect).
We originally got this crate to take camping with us so our new adopted fur baby would be comfortable and have her own space. The crate looks and feels huge (ordered 42’)! Plenty of room for our 65 pound pup. The crate appears to be good quality and was very easy to put together and take down to pack away. Having the crate come with a crate pad was helpful too as it was one less thing to forget to buy or pack. The pockets/small storage compartments are nice too. Unfortunately for us, the crate was too big for our trailer so we have yet use it regularly. We used it in the car and that went well and when it was set up in the house for our dog to get used to it, our dog went into it more than her traditional metal crate and we considered switching it out, but were concerned that her puppy mentality would try to chew through it when we were away and we would be out a great travel crate, $70 and things we care about in our house. So, for now it is packed away and ready to use. If our house was bigger, we would use this crate as her sleeping crate in the bedroom and the traditional crate for when we leave. Hopefully this ramble is helpful to someone! Overall I’d recommend it and buy it agin, just keep in mind your chewers! I’ll update if anything comes up in future use.
I bought this to use for my service dog while traveling and it was great, easy to bring along and use. My dog loved the plush bed that came inside of it. I would highly recommend this travel kennel. My service dog is a lab that weighs 60 pounds and the size 36" was perfect!
This is honestly one of the best Amazon purchases I have ever made. It's so easy to pop up, or take down, and is super compact and easy to hide in the closet. I purchased this for my pitbull who has anxiety in the car and this keeps her confined, safe, and my car safe. It's made of great materials and is a total steal. I spent 2.5 hours searching and chose this model, 5 stars. Dont hesitate, just do it.
We've recently bought this to bring our 30lb shiba inu with us on a road trip. Assembly was literally a snap. This is no small kennel by any means and our dog can't be any more comfortable. Even though we zip up the top while we leave him alone, we normally have the top open while the car is in motion so he can stand and look out the window. He can sit straight up without hunching with the top closed. That's another reason we chose this size. Its foldability is great. We easily fold and unfold it to bring in and out our family and friends' places we visited.Only "con" is the included pouch attached to the front opening. We ended up taking it out because it feels like it gets in the way more than anything.
This is an extremely well designed crate. Lots of space for our 35 pound Labradoodle. She likes that she can poke her head out the top to see whats going on. The carry straps make it easy to move. and the two zippered bags make it easy to carry a few supplies. We love it and so does are dog.
This crate is ideal. I have a lab as well as a german shepherd and they both love this crate. Its nice and roomy for both even the German shepherd. She likes going in and sitting in it on a daily basis so I just leave it up for her. Its lightweight and not bulky or hard to carry. Very easy to set up and take down. I highly recommend this dog crate.
I've only used this a few times so far, but like it. I bought it as a travel kennel for my dog, a 6 lb yorkie-poo. It fits well into my luggage, and doesn't weigh too much. I kept her in it at the hotel when we stepped out of the room for meals, shopping, etc. Seems to have held up well! My dog can be a pretty aggressive chewer/scratcher, so I was a little worried at first. So far, there's no damage, and she seems to do well in it. The zippers are smooth/easy to use, so it's fast to zip.
I've owned 2 other pet crates and this is not only lower priced but better quality. The interior poles to keep the crate upright are attached to the interior of the crate and are spring loaded. Very easy to assemble and is self contained to store...even has a carry handle and pouches for toys or treats
Everything about this crate is as described. It is sturdy enough, for a soft crate, to be used when your dog is used to crates. Our German Shepherd puppy of 5 months loves it at night, and it will be great to easily fold it up for travel. However, I would not leave your dog in it if you are still crate-training during the day when you are gone - as it would be easiest to tear up than a metal crate.
Out of the box this was very easy to pop up. Simply unzip the top panel and then unfold the cross supports making sure they clip onto the rails. (they’ll come rubber banded down. Just cut them)This crate has great features such as a good sized pouch that can unhook, another pouch on the top flap, Sherpa padding, as well as a water bottle holder and ID card holder on the back. I also really like that the flaps on the front and top can be rolled and have Velcro in place to hold them in the rolled position.Seems pretty well built. But time will tell. If your dog is a chewer, it will find a way to chew through this. It’s not made of Kevlar. As far as sizing, my 50lb golden puppy fits perfectly with room to grow. I was considering getting the 42” as she’s only 6mo old and still has some growing to do. But I doubt she’ll outgrow this.
We took these for our Goldens to a dog show. They were great. Dark vents allow airflow and a dark space for the pups to chill out. They could relax in there and rest regardless of the strange dogs around them. We really liked the snap in place bars and how easily they go up and down. They also are very lightweight so carrying them to and fro is not an issue.
It is light weight. Easy to set up and put away. I use it for my border collie for training class.
The crate is perfect for our 2 cats. We bought it for an upcoming cross-country move but have used it for taking them to the vet. and it works great. We purchased the large size and it's just the right size for two adult cats. Plenty or room for them to move around or stretch out. I'm withholding a a 5-star rating until after we see how works for the move but for now it's a great buy, is well construction with durable materials an has plenty of compartments to hols food, treats and more. Fully collapsible to take it anywhere. Highly recommended.
I purchased two of the 21 inch crates for my two ~11 pound cats and have been very pleased. The build quality is quite a bit better than the price would imply. The fabric is sturdy and can withstand the occasional 'claw first' escape attempt by the cats, and the carrier has a very sturdy frame. The fact that they fold up nicely for convenient storage is a nice perk.Would highly recommend this pet crate, especially for the price.
I took my dog for her first road trip and wanted something to keep her comfortable and safe. This was perfect. She traveled comfortably and when we arrived at her destination she enjoyed using it to sleep and relax in. She now uses it home for the same. It is well made and if I had to store it, it folds up easily and takes no space at all.
Perfect size! This is the perfect hideaway for our new timid shelter dog. We knew he was scared before picking him up at the pound, so I specifically chose a crate that would be dark inside and he would feel sheltered in. We never had to put him in the crate. As a matter of fact, all of our pets have napped in it in the two days we have had it and all of them love it.
