That Time We Found A Magical Place, Part III

We set foot on the trail entrance and made our way through the first bend of the trail not far from the asphalt of the parking lot. The trail was surrounded by overgrowth, damp fallen branches, a few fallen trees and large fanning ferns. The air was very damp and it was already drizzling a bit, so we were both getting a little wet ourselves.

As we made our way along the trail we could smell the sea salt in the air and hear the ocean waves not far from where we were, but could not immediately see the ocean because of the density of the tree growth and other greenery that sounded the area. We climbed over and ducked under fallen dead tree logs as we made our way, but the trail itself was pretty well kept. As we zigzagged our way down the trail you could tell we were descending in elevation and the tree growth was beginning to thin to where we could make out that there was the Pacific Ocean just through the trees.

The sound of the ocean was getting louder as we neared the ending of the path. There was one last steeper descent in the trail that made a large complete u-turn before it straightened out a bit to its exit. We stopped to take a final picture on the trail and were getting anxious to see where we were to end up.

This concludes "That Time We Found A Magical Place, Part III." Stay tuned for more of the adventure, and for the point of this whole story... that time my wife and I found a magical place.
